"We didn't play Michigan football."
hoke- to alter or manipulate so as to give a deceptively or superficially improved quality or value.
This isn't a "program game", since the loser of the game will end the season with a losing record.
I guess it's good that there are enough crappy bowls that we get to go to one, just for the extra practices. But I also wonder just how focused the team is. I could understand it if they just wanted to be done with the season.
I'm just happy that no one said that "All of our goals are still in front of us..."
This is something to cause a fuss about
"If you're worried about Wolverine fans, just move to Pasadena. You'll never have to deal with 'em."
My step son works at Buffalo Wild Wings I could arrange it..
The extra practices are probably way more important than the game itself, since it's not even remotely prestigious.

I'm surprised how everyone here seems to think this game is meaningless. Seems to go against the concern of program perception that is talked about here so much. It's true, nobody is going to watch this thing, but every cfb fan is going to check the score, see who won, and make a judgement. If State loses it's going to chip away at the program's rep further, but if they win it will stop the bleeding and make the program's "down year'' a winning record and a bowl win against a respected program in TCU. All programs have down years, and those are often just as big in shaping program perception as the big ones are.
