Awesome, you are obviously way cooler than those freshman who are excited about the first big, nailbiter win in their college career. Sorry they were so annoying. And you are twisting my words, I said it was a combination of the two factors, not just the 900th win. Also, your posts are incredibly difficult to read and poorly though out. I'm not sure if you are a troll or just limited in your understanding of football.
So your empirical evidence is what exactly? Did you somehow survey everyone who jumped on the field? I mean...I can't imagine Michigan seniors (for example) who have never (as student/fans) beat Michigan State jumping on the field to celebrate that they don't have to get shit from their MSU buddies any more.
I don't enjoy it as much when anyone is better than us, obviously. Mark Dantonio is obviously a great fit for msu also. You guys will compete for B1G titles. There WILL be two big time programs in the state of Michigan for the time being.
I'm pretty satisfied with the basketball program also. We finally have an AD that realized what a piece of shit Crisler was and something needed to be done. It just underwent a 52 million dollar renovation. #5 preseason ranking isn't too shabby.
Lastly, the way you are saying it, you want to believe that Michigan State doesn't matter. Like it makes you happy to get so angry about it. We can repeat it as many times as we want and you still don't seem to get it. Michigan State matters as a rival. It's just different circumstances at each school.
1) I'm glad they're excited. My first nailbiter win in my college career was the circus game against Illinois when each team scored a hundred points. That was a much more exciting game. It went to three overtimes. At no point did I think beating a bad Illinois team was "storm the field" worthy. Likewise, neither is beating a bad MSU team.
2) I never said you thought they took the field solely because of the MSU defeat or solely because of the 900th win. You're just inferring things that I never meant to imply. My comment was of my own opinions in relation to the subject that you commented on. That's all.
3) What about my comments are difficult to read or poorly thought out? Perhaps you should improve your reading comprehension skills.
4) What does fans running onto the field have to do with having an understanding of football? Nothing in my comment was even about the actual football game itself. Maybe you're the troll because your comment is logically incoherent.
Read the original comment. Do I have to spell it out for you? The empirical evidence is:
1) Fans only left the stands when the 900th win video ended and not a second before.
2) Several students that are friends of mine sited the 900th win as the only motivation for jumping the gate.
Is it a relatively small sample size? Yes, but the complete lack of siting "winning the game" as motivation should be concerning for those who actually believe that to be the reason.
Dude has eastern written all over him.
WE are the arrogant ones, but yet this place is full of posts like this.
I'm gonna let you trace this guys posts back. We've beat you for 4 years. Four. When do wolverines start showing up on this board? After we lose by two on alast second fieldgoal. Why is that? Let's trace these posts back a year ago. How many are on this board. Why is that? Think about how shallow your fan base actually is. Yet somehow you guys believe you're not arrogant or poor sports. You kill me.
Because Walmart Wolverines pack the Big House, such as yourself.
Location: Mumbai, India
Toledo kicked michigans ass. Cool.
Btw. Roll tide. I'm a huge Bama fan. HUGE. We kicked your ass and I got a T shirt and hat.
There's how many Michigan fans on here? Are the three or four Michigan fans on here that aren't even shit-talking really bothering you? There where definitely a few before the game also.
We're trying to be rational about this whole thing, and as usual, the msu fan calls a michigan fan a walmart wolverine without proof. At least I told you I was. Why is that your first line of defense ALWAYS?
And half of msu fans leave games at half time if it's raining.
So if people became fans when they were little, and either didn't get into Michigan or chose to go somewhere else cheaper, they can't be a fan anymore. Gotcha.
Were you rooting for Toledo or UM when they played? Who did you refer to as we during that game?
Absolutely not. However, when were these guys on this board? Last year after the game? Don't recall any of them. It's great that a Toledo guy is a fan of Michigan. Fantastic. Shouldn't they be on michigans board? I don't get how some will only come here after victories and when we point out the obvious, they wonder why. It's pathetic.
Btw, I loved Bama as a kid. I went to MSU. I'm now a Spartan. I still like Bama.
I didn't even go to Toledo at the time so I rooted for Michigan.
I'm not saying these guys in particular, I'm saying there have been other UM fans on here besides myself. I come here because there's many more topics discussed than our board. I joined 247 before our board even existed. Mgoblog is basically the huge gathering and discussion place for us, not here. I do my best to post my honest opinion, not troll, and not sound like a biased idiot.
Wait, you say that and then you follow up with "MSU fans leave when it rains" ?
You don't get it, you're here after a school you didn't attend beat our university. Many people came for the VERY FIRST TIME. You can't wrap your head around that can you? You don't get it. There is a whole thread devoted to MSU um over on the bb. Why are all of you here?
Who would you cheer for now. I want MSU to beat Bama even though I was a huge Bama fan growing up.
Walverines are defined by any dipstick that thinks they are better than another simply because they cheer for a football team (because basketball doesn't count). A Walverine is defined by anybody that infers a person is dumb because they went to MSU. All the while they are holding a GLIAC or MAC diploma or community college certificate in their hand. Or worse yet, no degree at all. They all have stories about how they got into UM, but they ended up at school X because of college major being better at said school or finances or some other BS. Whatever, I could not care less.
I don't care where someone goes or where they went. However, if someone is going to get all high and mighty because their pappy went to UM so that makes them smarter by association than me - all bets are off. I can play that game too, my niece goes to UM on a full academic scholarship from the engineering school. (maybe if you were smart, you could get yourself one of those) Big fuckin' deal. Does that make me smarter than them? No. My Uncle went to school there when they were building the Union building. Does that make my heritage any better than theirs? Hell no. Does the fact that they cheer for a football team make them better than me? Not in my mind, but too often it does in theirs.
As far as your riddle, I have no idea how the Glass Bowl was able to sell out all those games while RR was coaching at Michigan.

Hope they don't play each other any time soon I'll make that decision if the ever day comes. I'd much rather just transfer to U of M as it's a better place.
You still haven't answered the why are you on this board question.
Son, your accounting degree is just as good. I've told you that before. I have a friend from Ferris that is a veep at Ford. It matters little. Work hard and don't worry.
BTW by you saying I hope that day doesn't come and you aren't sure. You've answered it. I personally think that's sad. If you can't immediately say your school, it's sad. I was pissed when Bama beat us. I can't imagine even thinking of cheering for them when we played them
There's a 247 Michigan board?!?!?!
