I follow Drake Harris on twitter and daily he retweets stuff from other schools fans trying to woo him to their school. I think UM has a twitter account devoted to that purpose alone. Same with tOSU. His announcement will make Jabari Parkers press conference look like a ghosttown. There are typically 5-10 retweets per day from him. Last night, a few started popping up from Georgia. I can't imagine being a 17 yr old kid in high school and having these people throw themselves at you like they are. It would be very difficult to keep things in perspective, if it were me.
Following him is unbearable the kid just retweets crap from people nonstop.
As a poster on tRCMB I'm used to beautiful women throwing themselves at me all the time. Ain't no thang.
You can turn off retweets specifically by person on twitter, this is a function that surprisingly a lot of people are unaware of, but it's the only way to make some people bearable on there.
I actually kind of like reading his retweets. It's both alarming and comical to see these guys from other schools thinking that sending him tweets will change his mind.
+1 I did not know that.
Yup, I haven't turned Harris's off for that exact reason, I'm interested in seeing what people are saying to him to sway him, especially because most are idiotic. But I use that feature for people like my 14 year old cousin, who is honestly a pretty hilarious kid with the random shit he posts, but his friends that he retweets makes me cringe, so this is a solution to that problem.

Drake already did his announcement and committed to MSU. Did it at his schools football stadium and had an MSU shirt on under his jacket IIRC.
35,600 posts and counting since 09-09-2002. tRCMB Dead Pool Commissioner.
Well that should be the end of things.
Fans tweeting these kids is both ridiculous and sick. The um fans especially.
And then he opened up his recruitment again announcing he would no longer be playing basketball as well (which was a huge pull for MSU)
Nothing matters until MSU gets a LOI.
A dillhole Walvie at my office made a point to show me a picture of Harris posing in a #1 UM jersey from Harris' visit to AA. He has it set as his desktop background.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
I mean, I agree that it has the potential to become sick, but most of it is harmless, a large majority of the tweets are just, we'd love to have you in [insert college town or school colors] GO [insert mascot]
The fact that he is open about his recruitment on twitter, and retweets a lot of these fans, means he is enjoying the attention, the ride, and I don't blame him, let him enjoy it if he wants too. I am hoping that the reason he opened up his recruitment again is to live this experience now that his stock went so high after he committed to MSU, but that in the end he sticks with his first choice.
I don't know how you don't punch that guy right in the face.
So damn annoying.
"The price is wrong Bob"
Did you remind him that he has a picture of a 16 year old boy that isn't his son on his desktop?
Trust me, the guy has enough problems already. No need to bring that up to him.
People have standalone accounts just to blow recruits on twitter, it's too much.
I hate twitter more than anything for this reason.
A man's gotta eat!
yep, stopped following him for that reason
I see Michigan State as a destination, not a stop.~Mark Dantonio
Ya. These people (especially scum and O$U fans) who devote day and night tweeting at a teenager who isn't their own are psychos. Said it before and ill say it again, there is something seriously wrong with these people. Something isn't all there upstairs. Especially considering 99% of these losers have zero affiliation with said university. Straight up creepy.
