You were flat out wrong when you made the original post. The development of Nix and Payne simply reinforces the idiocy.
You are so not "the dude".
I must be crazy to be in a loony bin like this.
I was going to post "this won't end well"... but it's too late. "tDude" is getting eaten alive...
Give it up, man. Bad post. Poor logic. Izzo's right. You're wrong.

A Spartan Today, A SPARTAN FOREVER. Through thick and thin, low and high water I strive to be the best Spartan ever.
Izzo said all the right things yesterday.
If Morgan's tip-in goes for Michigan, Izzo would have said a different set of right things.
Ok, tDude. You get a chance to be Tom Izzo after the game yesterday. Tell us what you would have said. Enlighten us, please.

We are all dumber for having read this thread... thanks Dude
Yes, you can pick two games when the results of those games put your destiny in the hands of someone else at the last game of the season.
Yes, OSU would also have a backdoor title just as MSU would have.
Izzo was ruined by Billy Packer claiming MSU didn't win the 1999 or 2001 championship (I've forgotten which) because we "backed in." I think the long and short of it was we lost our last game at home and still hoisted a banner. Packer thought that was cheep. And he even thought we should put "co-champions" on the banner.
Izzo took exception to Packar and said his players won as much a championship as anyone else. Other teams hoist banners before knowing they're the outright champs, etc. Ever since I've never seen Izzo happy last week of the season whether a banner is being hoisted or not.

Ruined might be a strong word.
Why do any of you reply to Dude's constant whining about things?
Dude, anything else you wish to whine about today?
Oh, and any more things that Izzo is wrong about....

Nίκη για MSU
He deserved to get canned from CBS but sometimes I do miss Packer. It was fun to hate that old fart.
right. Well his ability to enjoy regular season championships was ruined by Billy Packer.
Izzo takes way too seriously criticism like this. Always has.

If Dude accomplished anything in this thread, it was to prove that there is no such thing as half of a win.
Of course nobody was arguing that, but he disproved the notion none the less.
WITH AUTHORITY... as they say.
He also likes to say "Izzo wrong" a bunch of times... as he pontificates from on high...
Whatever, brah - you clearly aren't ballsy enough to have your own opinion... anonymously.....online....

OOOhhh, little testy this morning are we.... LOL
Edit: Maybe it's time for a snickers...
No it wouldn't have. He has stated the same thing in years past. I guess you've never really paid any attention to Izzo's feeling on this matter.
LOL at that... would ANY of the tRCMB posters really pay attention to anything other than their vaunted opinions...
Regardless of the outcome of the Michigan game, I was fully expecting Izzo to use the terms "backed in" or "back door title" at some point due to his use of it a few times in the past decade. SURELY someone else on this forum has heard his sentiment on the matter before as well.
5 contenders. unbalanced schedules.
Wouldn't have cared if we "backed into" the title. MSU had the hardest schedule of any of the 5 contenders.
The conference basically breaks down into 3 groups. the contenders, the middle, and the garbage.
OSU and MSU are the only schools to play every contender twice.
MSU and IU are the only teams to miss 2 games against the garbage group.
MSU missed___ PSU (2-16) @ILL (8-10) IOWA (9-9) @NU (4-14)______Total: 23-49

Yup. What the OP can't/doesn't want to grasp is that Izzo wasn't speaking to him last night, he was speaking to his team, just like any time he gives an interview during the season. It's all about pushing buttons with his players, not about keeping internet message board critics happy.
Bottom line - he wants his teams going into the tournaments with chips on their shoulders. If UM had won, I fully expect Izzo would have congratulated the team and then told them they backed in and need to use Chicago and the NCAAs to prove that they deserved it and didn't just benefit from a gift.
Instead, he used the opportunity to tell his team they only deserve what they earn themselves and won't be given anything in the next four weeks.
If you understand who the intended recipients of the message were, it really is pretty simple. Not sure how/why anyone would get butthurt about it.
