I'm sorry, but did they strip Anthony Davis of his NPOY title and not tell anyone?
It had been a wonderful evening and what I needed now, to give it the perfect ending, was a little of the Ludwig Van.
Same here. These people are ridiculous.
Suton wasn't a post player? Green wasn't either? Get real.
So in the off season you were this concerned about our bigs? Give me a break. If they are not producing in February/March then you have a concern.
And we already saw this team beat the best team they've played so far in Kansas, who will win the big 12 like they do every year. This Miami team was missing their best player during that loss .
This team will be fine they just need more time to practice together as a whole without anyone hurt. Its amazing the amount of cliff jumpers there are on this board, you would think people would have faith in izzo but I guess not.
"Having their moments" does not mean they are good players. It means they are usually NOT good players, but had a few out of the ordinary hot streaks. Playing consistently well makes you a good player.
This . . . but it's still irritating that a good big man comes along once every 5 or 6 recruits at the position. MSU has a JR and a SR as their main bigs, and neither have developed. It seems that the post holds the team back from its full offensive potential more often than not.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Have you seen his tape? I have. He will be eaten alive by athletic power forwards.
You do realize that MSU has the 4 out on the perimeter a lot right? That is Izzo's offense.
being a 4 doesn't mean you stand on the block and post up all game.
Green played a majority of his minutes at the 4.
"Put your mother in a straight-jacket you punk ass white boy." ~ Mike Tyson
Now that's fair too.
So wait, I'm confused, which bigs was Izzo supposed to recruit? Should he not have recruited the Michigan Mr Basketball or the 5 star recruit? Actually, you're probably right, Izzo is no good at projecting talent of big men, I bet this Parker kid ends up being a bust since Izzo is recruiting him and clearly doesn't know what he's doing
Anthony Davis, Julius Randle, Cody Zeller, Nerlens Noel would all be nice. Seems like he is starting to realize you need better talent to win the championship, hence recruiting Parker, Okafor, Jones.
Who's dick do we have to suck to get an actual good shooter at MSU?
The point is that Suton wasn't "Suton" until his final year. He wasn't close to that good as a JR, and certainly not as a soph. Naymick developed into "solid" as a RS SR.
So once every 3-4 years MSU seems to have a viable big man.
I get the MSU has a very guard oriented O. I don't know if the assistants are poor or if the evaluation of big men just sucks, but it's just plain weird to have an elite program that can't seem to consistently turn out decent big guys.
We are not getting Parker. Might as well get used to it.
I'll start asking around... you just keep your lips wet and your jaw relaxed

Suton's stats in his last three years were very similar:
It was the perception of him that changed.
The Naismith is the real player of the year award. I love Draymond just as much as anyone, but don't twist the argument to suit your case.
Huh, I always thought he was averaging closer to 13 as a SR. That's interesting to see.
Huge jump in his 3 point shooting.
Yeah, I'm sure Izzo just figured out what it takes to win a championship.
I somewhat agree with this. Guys don't seem to develop significantly and at some point that's on Stephens
Huge jump in his 3 point attempts. 1 to 5 to 12 to 48.
I somewhat agree with this. Guys don't seem to develop significantly and at some point that's on Stephens. Both Payne and Nix look as clumsy and raw as they did their freshman years.
If you don't think Suton and Green developed significantly, no one can help you.
Suton could barely get up and down the floor as a freshman. Green was a project who was 20+ pounds overweight.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
So basically you expect Izzo to sign the top big man in every class, and you think that without doing so you can't win a championship...I see...
