Lets not get carried away here people. Jets is the best DELIVERY pizza. If you think it's the best pizza you've ever had, you're missing out on some truly great stuff. Biga, Tomatoes, and Suppinos immediately come to mind around the D.
No love for Hungry Howies?
Rogue Leader= Obese coward who didn't attend MSU and has no college degree
The best pizza in the D is either Shield's or Primo's
im in Kansas City...it looks like the closest Jets are in Dallas, Minneapolis, and Champaigne, IL - all fairly equidistant, though Champaigne is probably closest at around 6.5 hours - the others would be more like 8. So i'm thinking at 6.5 I could pretty easily do what those idiots on that doritos taco commercial did and road trip it for some jets. i just have to convince my wife. leave in the morning...have jets for lunch....drive back w/ the incredible tantalizing smells drawing us into to that inconspicuous oblong box of wonderment...and then 8 corner divinity for dinner too. crunchy, cheesy, pizza perfection.
and yes, it's the crust. I don't know what they do, but it's the best pizza crust ever invented. and you have to get the rectangle pan. have to.
certainly not in a thread about Jets.

Lunch info w/ pics?
The pizza at motor city brewery is a hidden gem.
Hide yo quarterbackz, hide yo kidz, the MSU defense is here
bump - friday pizza day. DAYUMMMMM
Pizza Popolis is good
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
Just ate lunch there
i've driven to the burbs to get jets
Abunch of cath lab wannabes
Jet's is nasty, cant believe how much play it gets on here.
If i was on my deathbed and had to pick between Jet's and Little Caesars, i would likely croak before trying to select one good option from two terrible selections.
You people need to get out way, way, more.
Anyone ever have Dan Good Pizza?
Yes, it's pretty good.
I think I've basically tried every single pizza place in the greater Detroit area that has received any kind of accolades. I am a pizza junkie and I've been on a quest for 4-5 years to find the best pies in the area.

I go way back with Pizza Papalis (25+ years). It's pretty good if you like deep dish but they've burned roughly 75% of the thin crust pizzas I've ordered over the years. Ridiculously expensive for the product.
So what's the best in your opinion? I'd say Shields, Dan Good and Marinellis are my favorites.
IMHO, Jet's produces a subpar product.

Jets is the only way I can get Detroit style pizza in Texas without paying up the chute.

Has anyone else tried the buffalo chicken pizza? I thought it was kinda gross. I love Jets otherwise.
+1 for you
I agree 100% (see my post above)
Not a big fan of non-traditional pizzas or Frank's red hot (I prefer Melinda's XXX & XXXX Reserve) but IMO the buffalo chicken pizza at Jets is very good
Too many different styles to pick from to name a single best.
I will say that I think the best Detroit style is at The Gathering Place in Troy (ask for it well done).
My favorite round is probably Holiday in Sterling Heights.
Thin - definitely Tomatoes.
Chicago - Probably MiChigo in Ferndale
I've yet to find a true NY style that blows me away.
Bump. I decided to buy some Jet's today. Large pizza & some Jets bread for $13. Not bad.
