So you're going with addition by subtraction?
9 is probably their ceiling, but the schedule is pretty forgiving.
Road games: UConn, MSU, Penn St, Northwestern, Iowa.
Cross division games: Penn St., Indiana, Ohio St.
ND, Nebraska and tO$U all come to A2.
"When I was in school they told me practice makes perfect. Then they told me nobody's perfect. So I stopped practicing." --Steven Wright
2-3 road losses
1-3 home losses
Ceiling of 9-3 Floor of 6-6.
I see our ceiling as 10-2 and floor at 7-5. But we bring back a lot more of our team than they do.
Amazing. For 4 years it was heisman this and shoelace that. Now that his eligibility is up it turns out he singlehandedly held the program back.
"losing Caleb Benenoch is a blow that Dantonio will never recover from. Izzo has lost it as well. Hoke and Beilein own the state."
well think of it this way, Borges will no longer have to spend 2 seasons trying to figure what to do with Denard and Gardner and which style of offense to run... and he only managed to figure it out when Denard's throwing arm was injured.
I blame everything on Bill Martin and Adidas... ;)
Michigan was most effective with the threat of Robinson to break a long run. Opened up the passiing game tremendously, when teams knew Gardner was going to pass, he was not very good at all. IMO, Michigan's offensive hopes lie not with Gardner, but with Derrick Green, he has to be great from day 1 because the other RBs are either stiffs or are coming off a broken leg. Without a good run game, Gardner is going to struggle mightily.
This is not the 1970s, very few teams lose all of their impact players and not take a step back. Has Michigan built Alabama type depth to absorb the losses? I doubt it. MSU will be facing the same thing in 2014, we're losing most of our impact players on defense and a few pieces on offense too.
absolutely, but it's not only the play of the RB, it's also on the OL to open things up for the RB... in a play action offense if you can't establish the run, you're done unless your defense can shut someone out.
I just learned that Jake Ryan is a UM player. I should have known based on the four page thread about his injury.
Hope my VCU gear arrives before tomorrow's big game!!!! I paid extra for overnight shipping!!!
I live to hate UM!!!
