Have there been any changes in Jerry Palm's mentally challenged condition?
I'm sick of Orlando and I'm sick of UGA
I know these like the back of my hand.
whos jerry palm?
The guy who nailed the bowl scenarios perfectly last season, for which the RCMB blasted him as a moran. Basically, beginning week 3 or 4, he picked UM to be a BCS at-large pick and stuck with his prediction all year. Week after week, the RCMB mocked and harassed him for his foolish prediction, and couldn't figure out why he picked UM over MSU.
LOL at Boise State still making a BCS bowl.
Well he is a moran.
Don't even try to play devils advocate right now Andy. We all know they were a paper tiger. We can safely assume that in Jerry's mind, Michigan was a bcs caliber team. That is not the case.
Isn't there a rule that says if a non-AQ conference champion finishes ahead of a BCS conference champion in the BCS rankings, said non-AQ team gets an automatic bid? Considering the Big East blows, this could still be possible.
The RCMB...is one of the most awful, alarming, inappropriate, disgusting, and offensive msg boards in the history of the internet.
You know, as crazy as it was, I was able to see U of M going to a BCS last year. There were quite a bit of two loss teams last year, and although the SEC was loaded in the top 10, they could only send two teams to any BCS bowl. Who were they going to pick between U of M, Virginia Tech, Kansas State, Baylor, Oklahoma, and Boise State? Baylor and Oklahoma had three loses, Boise State and Kansas State aren't "good enough" with tickets, so that leaves brand power.
As for this year though, NOW I think Palm is nuts. Assuming Wisconsin loses the B1G champ game, there is a chance of not being picked (especially if they end up with three loses). U of M, although they will still get their eight or so wins, will that win the B1G let alone be high enough for a BCS bid? Boise State isn't totally nuts if they win out, but will enough teams drop is the question. Even if this is just a snapshot rather than a straight prediction, I just don't see it this time.
And I believe that then non-AQ team has to be in the top 14 as well. There would be competition between Boise State and Louisville then. If Louisville actually wins out, then there's probably no hope for Boise State.
Some puzzling picks, but most notably MSU vs. ARKANSAS in the Gator Bowl? Smh..
How does he still have Boise State in a BCS Bowl?
Again with the Boise St?
Except for Boise State going to the BCS and us playing Georgia again, I agree. Nebraska is the least dysfunctional team in the conference.
He looks like Big Sean (white trash edition) and Dan Hawkins mated.
I seem to recall Palm seeding both UNL and umAA ahead of MSU in some of his early November bowl pics last season. That could not happen, since they still had to play each other and thus one of them was guaranteed to get another L and thus could not be chosen ahead of MSU.
It's too early for bowl projections to mean anything now, but once we approach Halloween Palm doesn't seem to even look at the teams' remaining schedules to notice impossible scenarios.
With the exception of Arkansas being bowl eligible, I sort of think this is accurate based on what we've seen so far. Granted, this point last year, I didn't think we were going to be in Indy or in the Outback Bowl - so I think that chances are very good that we move up in the world between now and the end of the season. But Arkansas making a bowl game? Fucking hell...has he seen how JLS teams respond to a couple tough loses?
