Maybe the biggest injury of all the injuries in recent memory.
Not saying he would have surpassed Maxwell for the job this year, but competiton breeds excellence more than anything else. No competiton means you get two years of heir apparent status without a legitimate threat for your job. Does that create complacency?
Maxwell definitely earned his scholarship, but did he earn the job? Does he even feel like he earned it? That quote awhile back about being "happy to just be a D1 QB" makes me wonder. There are plenty of QBs more than happy to hold the clipboard.
(Kirk Cousins, btw, is not one of those. There is a great Deadspin GIF of him standing emotionless after a big RJIII TD run a few weeks back. Maybe that makes him a bad teammate, I think he's just a competitve SOB)
"Tonight, we show the world what this program is made of!" -- Brian Ellerbe on Mar 4, 2000, the night of scUM's 51-point loss to MSU.
The tackle from Iowa was a bigger career ending injury in my opinion
All of the OL injuries are more significant than Boisture's at this point, even the ones that just stunted development. Maxwell isn't the problem and I don't buy that he wasn't working as hard as he could because Cook is a RS FR and not a RS SO.

Please do not speculate.
Thank you, Denicos.
What was so off-base about what I said?
If his injury was so severe, why he playing at SVSU?
What were his stats at SVSU?
This. Barrent was by far the biggest injury of the Dantonio era. That guy was destined to be a beast.
4283 yards. 35 touchdowns, 12 picks. 65% completion rate

He was not even the starter at svsu. He was the guy in the red ball cap signaling in the plays.
The beginning. And the end. Also the middle.
Injury? For those of us not on your clairvoyance level, who, what, where, and how?
