A friend punched him the bathroom at Sparty's once, not sure what went down prior....
---"It's not over and it will never be over here."---
That's just disgusting. And this is coming from a guy that jumped into Beer Lake on Oakland University's campus (Probably more disgusting).
You weren't ingesting ecoli just swimming in it haha
When from these scenes we wander, and twilight shadows fade, our memory still will linger, where light and shadows played.
The real question is how many of the handles in this thread are actually Mr. Johnathan Spirit?
laconophilia is everywhere...
Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read. - Groucho Marx
I have heard something like this as well .. the Spring Lake Part
He is crazy!
Google him. He is everywhere.
Can't say I like the guy, but can almost respect the consistent effort.
When I am driving around lost in St. Louis and then see him riding his bike it's kind of comforting. "This must be the place".
What I really want to know is how he funds all of these trips? What does he do for a living? I don't even care to know the exact location of his work, just if he's in the IT field, if he's a salesman, if he's a teacher. I don't get how this guy can just appear at every major MSU event without seeming to work for a living unless his family is loaded. Also how is he allowed so much access before and during home and away games? He walks around the stadium like he owns the place and he leads the team on their walk from the Kellogg. Someone on here knows the answers.
This is his Moms company.
G S Consession includes business information such as contact, sales and financial data.
That's the backstory I want to know. I remember seeing him painted all red in downtown Detroit for one of the Red Wings Stanley Cup runs. How does he afford to go to all of these games and events?
That's the part that bugs me more than anything - that he will AW himself out for other teams/occassions.
Drumline may be on the field at the same time as the band, but they aren't in the same category.
True, eveyone likes the drum line.
Just kidding, but you walked right into that one.
Wow.... I don't know if I actually believe this or not, but I want to.
He graduated in 1997. He still lived on the second floor of North Wonders in 96-97. You couldn't miss his room from the outside of the building. It looked like a Michigan State themed casino sign.... Just green and white lights blaring out of there no matter what time of day.
My cousin has a very strong dislike for JS. Whenever he sees him, he yells : " Hey Johnny get a life!!"
JS's response is always something to the effect: " I have more a life than you ever will"
Ps- I know my cousin is a lurker here. Hello Kyle!!!!
suck on my tits, kyle.
Fuck you, Kyle!
Ugh. I hate Kyle.
There's a story in the Grand Haven Tibune today about Johnny Spirit moonlighting this week as Cupid. See link and pic below. Evidently he is from Spring Lake.
Actually my kids don't hate him, just think he is goofy fyi
One time, I saw him buy a gigantic cookie.
He savored every single morsel of that cookie and enjoyed it thoroughly.
It was the best damn cookie he had ever tasted, to this day.
I stumbled by and asked him if he knew when the library closed.
I'll never forget what he said.
He said, "Not now, child. I'm enjoying this glorious cookie. Run along, now."
I understood completely and let Johnny Spirit have his day in the sun.
I turned to my left, and saw the most beautiful girl in the world. I asked her when the library closed, and she uttered the closing time like the most mellifluous tune my ears had ever heard or would ever hear.
I grabbed her by the hand and we walked to the library, and it felt like my feet were floating above the ground.
He changed my life that day. The cookie changed my life that day.
On our wedding day, our guests were bestowed with gifts of camcorders with no film. We went around pretending to film each other the entire day and we'll never forget it until, of course, the inevitable dementia sets in.
In retrospect, it would have been nice to have some actual footage, but if it isn't good enough for Johnny Spirit, then damn it; it isn't good enough for us.
Good bless Johnny and his cookie, for it changed the direction of our lives forever.
Now run along, children. Run along, now.
Dominating Press Conferences Since 2007
Pretty sure he runs a hot dog stand in Grand Haven in the Summer. Not sure how he affords stuff, my guess is mommy has money.
