No, you totally missed my point. Here it is in black and white. My guess is that he is more than content being worth $80M. Life is not all about making the most money.
I wish I could have no ambition and still make $14m a year.
Maybe because every minute he spends working on other projects is a minute he can't spend doing the enjoyable things that making $14 million year affords?
I am trying to figure out how much ambition is worth. I will need to know an exact dollar amount before I go in for my yearly review.
Why is he only doing his show, forgot about the book he wrote a while back? I think he is very, very happy with what he does...Did you guys watch the "Rally to Restore Sanity" a few years ago? Here is his closing speech, it should give you an idea about why he is doing his show:
PS Coming from the dumb of a show he used to host on late night MTV/syndication he has come a long way, that show was funny
After three hours of musical performances, comic bits and taped video tributes to the most reasonable people in America, Stewart closed the Rally with a serious message to the estimated 150,000 in attendance in Washington D.C. and untold numbers watching at home.
35,600 posts and counting since 09-09-2002. tRCMB Dead Pool Commissioner.
The problem here is that you're equating "making more money" with "doing more."
Now that 's funny.
Wow. I keep forgetting how bizarre this board can turn.
He seems like a good guy. Too bad he has to be such a liberal wienie.
Final Countdown said..
Actually, I believe that study said Daily Show viewers were relatively more informed than viewers of news channels. Feel free to provide a link if you think otherwise.
It's VargMan. This shouldn't surprise you.
He's an idiot.
Informed on what? Slobbering over left wingers. Feel free to provide a link if that's not the case.
Awesome, so did I. Over the line I gave on how many posts to get to it though. I blame Cincy Spartan. Gonna keep reading this thread to see if he posts the link that contradicts himself... again.
Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance
he does a uk satirical weekly podcast called "the bugle" with his long time comedy partner andy zaltzman which is brilliant... also if you look for stuff with zaltzman called political animal it is brilliant.... he did a mock interview with "god" which still has me in stitches...
damn... now i wish I had read further before my contribution... lol
Are you a Tiger Mother?
Thanks, I'll be sure to check it out.
Who would've guessed SpartyIRUSH/clemenza would be a tea Bagger?
I like when he does the "I don't know who Spartyirish is" then goes on to say something that the notorious fat bastard Irish would say verbatim.
"losing Caleb Benenoch is a blow that Dantonio will never recover from. Izzo has lost it as well. Hoke and Beilein own the state."
I like John Oliver and am looking forward to seeing what he does with the hosting job. Given a choice, I think I would have preferred to see what Wyatt Cenac could do with the hosting duties. I wonder if this has anything to do with why Cenac left the show.
Jesus Christ man, you are one fucked dude.
Keeping the sunshiners in check since 2000.
He's one of the biggest douchebags on here. Love to see the blower perma banned.
