Last I heard Louisville had a decent player or two. That might help the state of Kentucky's team.
Anybody benching THJR has not been paying attention this year. That dude is much improved and playing his role better. My MSU + UM starting lineup would be Burke, Harris, Hardaway, Robinson, Payne.
Look, another Michigan fan who didn't follow basketball until 2011.
Agreed. Also, no way in hell is GR3 better than Dawson
after last tonight, when your down at one point by 30+, there isnt any reason to pickup a single scum bball player off that roster for a state of michigan team. nope, not even burke, there is no place for fade-away 3 pointers and no defense on this team
i only care about spartans --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqsAJQc-NCY
After last night, I don't think anyone in the country would take GR3 over Dawson or Hardaway Jr over Harris. Right now, Burke is the only one who would start at MSU. I doubt Stauskas and Morgan would ever see meaningful minutes.
MSU has more than enough bigs with Nix, AP, and Dawson playing above the rim, but and now you can throw Costello into the mix as being better than any big man on the scum roster. Heck Gauna made some nice plays last night too.
Morgan definitely wouldn't. Stauskas would probably do alright though, he can be lethal from deep at times.
I'm not going over rosters but we're kinda light on schools with legit rosters. Texas & Cal can pick one player from each team and hit the bench before they have to go back for a 2nd.
Also NC (Would Duke, UNC & NC State even have to ask Wake Forest to chip in?), Kentucky & Florida might be able to put some things together.
Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance
Maybe Burke could be the 6th or 7th man, but why not just pit MSU's team against anyone. Why fix what certainly isn't broken?!
Exactly. MSU as a TEAM would still do very well against a roster full of names that haven't played together.
In all honesty...my starting line up would be Burke, McCallum, Harris, Dawson, Payne. I would push the ball like crazy. Appling, THJ, Bader, McGary and Nix off the bench for me.
Starting: Burke, Appling, Harris, Dawson, Payne
Bench: Nix, Hardaway Jr, McCallum, Stauskus, McGary
Appling, Harris, Dawson, Payne, Nix
Bench: Burke, McCallum, Valentine, Costello, Gauna.
No reason to put anyone but Burke on an All MI team WHEN THEY GET SHELLED IN MI BAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
We Hope For Better Things; It Shall Rise From the Ashes.
McCallum, Appling, Harris, Dawson, Payne for the starters.
Burke, Valentine, Nix, Hardaway, Stauskas off the bench.
The first stringers would run you to death. And then the second string would come in and inside-out your ass to death.
tRCMB - Visit at your own risk of being disgusted.
Starting: Appling, Harris, Dawson, Payne, Nix
Bench: Burke, Valentine, Hardaway, Trice
I know there's no relief for Nix/Payne in this bench, but Costello/McGary/Gauna/Morgan are all a wash at the moment. I have a feeling Costello will be the best of them all by a handy margin by the time his Spartan career is done.

Love the Travis Bader call. That kid can play.
Who would be in charge of getting Gatorade and fresh towels, Spike Albrecht or Max Bielfeldt?
