Over the voter approved charter amendment decriminalizing marijuana. Well this should be interesting.
A city charter amendment set to take effect Thursday, Dec. 6, now is on hold.
i don't think it needs to go to wells.
our police state can't exist without being able to throw lots of people in jail. the us has the highest percentage of it's citizens in jail. 7.5 million people are in jail or on probation. it's big money, especially now that it is being privatized. people who are incarcerated have to pay for the privilege. legalizing pot would cause another fiscal cliff because all these people, governments, and companies count on it's revenue. if it is legalized, look for another common "crime" to be elevated to replace the lost money. my guess would have to do with automobiles, like speeding. 10 over will get you a $5000 fine and 6 months time.
maybe it is a wells thread
The private prison bubble is among the most disturbing social and economic issues of our day, and nothing is being done to keep it from inflating.
From water we're born, in fire we die. We seed the stars.
Nothing like use tax payer money to fight an amendment to the city charter that was put in place by (voting) tax payers.
you can't wells yourself! just like you can't triple stamp a double stamp!
Dumb And Dumber (1994) - The Most Annoying Sound In The World. YOU CAN`T TRIPLE STAMP A DOUBLE STAMP! YOU CAN`T TRIPLE STAMP A DOUBLE STAMP!
An interesting side note:
Prosecutor Forsythe also opposed the right of citizens to obtain a CCW. He preferred it when he alone could approve a person to carry a concealed weapon, and the only people who received them were his friends (judges, lawyers, former cops and politicians). This guy is a tool, I hope he drowns in bong water.
why would anything be done? these guys running the private prisons give our legislative branch a lot of money. you don't think any politician worth his salt would go against easy money do you? right and wrong is a fiction.
Where does David Mayo from the GR Press stand on this issue?
