Should I get another or go with the verissimo or something?
How about you stop being a candy assed weenie boy and drink a beer in the morning like a real man for Chrissakes.

hey, if I wanted to bring it strong I'd just start huffing gas fumes. In fact, that doesn't sound like too bad of an idea.
call them and explain the problem while also saying that you regularly maintained it (semi- regular descaling, etc). If you do this and are courteous to the rep there's a good chance they'll mail you a replacement . the warranty is 1 year I think but they've been lenient to me in the past .

What's the problem with your Keurig?... Not pumping the water through?...
.....I was born to synthesize.....
I had Chancellor Otto von Keurig in the death pool, right behind Artie Lange, and Ravi Shankar.

First time I've heard of a Keurig dying. We have a high-end Keurig at work. Thing is going on a year and a half old, and gets used an average of 20-30 times per day. We have an older one at the hunting property, the kind you pour in one cup of water at a time (no reservoir), and that one is several years old.
yes, I think the motor quit, I could probably look to see what it would take to replace that...
Lone Wolf, this is actually my second unit, its the B70, the first one we got quit after about a week... same deal, the motor just wouldn't pump the water. I've actually heard this is pretty common and if you take the units to Bed Bath and Beyond (where ours was purchased) they'll just exchange it no questions asked...
I am curious if anybody has tried the Verissimo system though.
Company replaced mine, no questions asked.

We also had a problem of the pump running but no water coming through. I read that sometimes the needle that pokes the top of the coffee containers gets clogged with very fine grounds. I took a long twist tie and peeled off the plastic to expose the wire and used it as a plunger. You need to take off the black rubber gasket that surrounds the needle and put the wire up through the hole in the end. I did that several times and ran water through it and a bunch of grounds came out. After several water only rinses it was back to working great.

Keurig is pretty much the Apple of coffeemakers, isn't it?
Keurig is Dell. Nespresso is the the Apple of coffee makers. Just check out the Nespresso Boutiques in NY/Chicago/global big city.
SO in other words, go with the Keurig.
They mailed us a replacement after 2+ years. The thing just stopped pumping water at the right amounts.
RIP ta da k cups

December 3, 2011 - Forever haunted by what I witnessed...
I'm looking at the verismo...go to Williams And Sonoma, they have demonstrations going on.
I have nothing to add, just want to say how much I've appreciated everyone's contributions to this thread.
Well, except aworthlesshack's.
I am apparently one of the few people on earth who doesn't like Keurig's, and I've never tried the Verissimo (prefer plain old Mr. Coffee coffeemakers ), so I literally cannot help you. Go with God.
Thank you, Denicos.
Huh? Saying you don't like Keurig is like saying you don't like pizza. There are so many different varieties that unless you've tried a lot of different k-cups you can't really judge. Keurigs are just like your Mr. Coffee. Garbage in, garbage out. If you use crappy coffee, you will have a crappy cup of coffee.
We have a Keurig here at the office. We have about 20 choices (a couple of them are teas and hot cocoa, and then a couple of flavored coffees). Of the 14 or 15 coffee varieties you can have a range from light roast to extra dark roast.
I can throw in a light roast coffee and it is disgusting. I throw in a dark or extra dark and it is the best coffee ever.
Mine died too so I went with a Tassimo. It makes all my frothy lattes which I really like.

and/or get a real espresso machine or just do nescafe.
Yeah, contact Keurig. I'm sure they'd rather send you a free brewer, than to have you stop buying k-cups.
If you decide to buy another, buy it at Bed Bath and Beyond. They will take anything back for almost any reason. That way, you're protected if it ever happens again. Also, you can use the new serial number to get 50% off your first order of K-cups!
I have mixed emotions about this thread. I certainly would never want anyone to die, but after some of the topics he's started.....oh wait.....KEURIG died.
Whoo. I was way off.
