I do not enjoy his music, therefore anyone that likes him is stupid and trashy! Everyone should like the music that I like, except then I wouldn't like that music because I wouldn't want people that I don't like associating with the music that I like.
Was that on the first one....I didn't think that came out until later...
He has always confused me. How can you go from what he was in the 80s (Rapper) to an amazing rock album in 1996 with Devil Without a Cause to some sort of country star now. I've seen him in concert twice, both times in the late 90s, when he was good.

Really? Maybe I'll have to check it out.
Never liked much of his music when he first started but he's gone to more of a Country/Rock blend then pure Rap since. Went to a concert thinking I would hate it and really had a good time. He does do a lot for the City of Detroit and the State of Michigan.....huge supporter of the community....will take him over most of the self centered entertainers out there.
You have to get over the fact that he sort of looked like Vanilla Ice....but otherwise....

Wow! That is some nice hair.
I truthfully don't know. I just remember my friend had one of his early albums back in the mid 90s and that song was one of our favs.
What's there not to get? Kid Rock fills a niche for a certain demographic and he happens to be from Michigan. Dude does a lot of good for local charities. Why hate? Not everyone can be Thom Yorke the musical genius.
He is from the Detroit area. That's it. Dude is a talentless hack. Cool nice guy still a no-talent.
Does he play any of this old stuff anymore? Is he on the piano for one song, jump right into bawithdaba and then go back to some blues/country/rock blend?
He's an entertainment chameleon who's morphed several times. He's a smart guy who's move from rap to country/rock keeps selling tickets.
Son of a car dealer, Grew up in the mean streets of Romeo until he reportedly quit school before graduating and moved to Mt. Clemens.
I'll probably get roasted for this, but this was one of the funnest concerts I've been to (DTE some years back). Yes, there was a TON of WT there, but who cares as long as it was fun. Guy can play every instrument on the stage, guitar, drums, even do a little turn table stuff (whatever the verb is for that, scratch? dj?).
I don't see what the problem is with his music either, other than he has changed his identity over the years. I liked Devil without a cause album because of the heavier guitars and distortion, but I also like some of his newer stuff for having a blues type vibe to it.
In any case, his songs are about sex, drugs, and rock and roll... what kind of people did you think were going to show up?
Yea.....plays a fair amount of the early stuff...American Badass....Cowboy...Bawithdaba...etc... then mixes in the newer stuff....overall a pretty entertaining concert.
I hate his inbred rat like features.
And the inbred rat-like features of his inbred downriver fans.
Snyder should have appointed him "Furher of Detroit" instead of Token or whoever he did.

Devil Without a Cause is a great album. I like some of his other stuff since then, but not as much. I've seen him 4 times in concert (the last time was probably 6 years ago) and he put on a great show each time. First time I saw him he was one of the better entertainers. Played each instrument, got the crowd really involed. Each subsequent show hasn't been as good, but a Kid Rock concert is still going to be pretty fun.
As others have said, enjoy it for what it is. Nothing wrong with that.
2 quick thoughts:
1. We sat a few rows away from Chris Chelios at the Kid Rock DTE concert we went to, which was probably around 2009ish? So not ALL of the fans are inbred, hillbilly WT.
2. Went to Bob Seger here in Denver 2 nights ago (great show, Joe Walsh opened) and I'll say I saw quite a few UM shirts and quite a few mullets... so I would assume that there are some similarities between the 2 fan bases, with the biggest difference I saw being a lot of old folk at Seger. Great show though.
Sorta suprised he isn't one of those people that feels the need to have like a 2-3 inch Gerber knife clipped inside his pocket.
And his music, for he most part, isn't that bad. In fact, some is pretty darn good.
I also like that he is not afraid to be patriotic, unlike some of the "join the herd PC punk-asses" who also record.

You are a moran.
I actually really like that All Summer Long song. Other than that, I agree. Dude is a rat.

Sorry. I meant Seger.
