Kid Rock is definitely not your typical..I'm a star..it's all about me entertainer. His charity work and support of Michigan/Detroit is above and beyond. He truly is a decent man whether or not you care for his music.
This just came up on my gym mix playlist today. To me, this is Kid Rock at his best, and one of my favorite songs by him. A great mix of hip hop and rock. Off of The Polyfuze Method in 1993.
I DO NOT CLAIM THE RIGHTS AND/OR OWNERSHIP OF THE MUSIC IN THIS VIDEO. I ALSO DO NOT CLAIM THE RIGHTS AND/OR OWNERSHIP OF THE ALBUM ARTWORK.
IF YOU REALLY LIKE THE SONG OR THE WHOLE ALBUM BUY IT IN ANY RECORD STORES NOT IN DIGITAL DOWNLOADING.
KID ROCK AND I BELIEVE DIGITAL DOWNLOADING RUINING MUSIC.
By far, that's my favorite Kid Rock song.
Speaking of public figures from Michigan I'd rather have a beer with him than that fat-ass Michael Moore.
His show is going to be a blast. Sorry some of you people can't enjoy a good time.
Dominating Press Conferences Since 2007
Saw him last Friday. The show was awesome. It was the best concert I've ever been to. Definitely a guy that you don't even have to like his music to enjoy a concert because he has such a great stage presence. The guy literally takes shots of Jim Beam and smoke cigars on stage.
Agreed. I don't get the hate. Dude is all about drinking, smoking, strippers and kicking ass on stage. Not to mention everything he does for the city and this state.
I have a hard time believing that anyone who has seen him live could think anything other than he puts on one hell of a show.
Actually, he's an MSU fan and his parents are MSU grads. He has sat courtside at Breslin before.
I am not a fan or a non fan but I don't think I would pay to see someone (even a famous person) "literally" take shots of Jim Beam and smoke cigars - it just wouldn't excite me. Young people must be easy to please. In my day there was a group from Detroit called The Fruit of the Loom (later shortened to The Fruit when the underwear company threatened them). They did a lot of semi-humorous, semi reverential renditions of 50's- early 60's hits.
During "Running Bear" they would don makeshift Indian constumes and shoot rubber tipped arrows mounted with joints into the audience. During their finale they would bring out cases of Ripple wine and throw bottles to the crowd. Now that was entertainment.
That's Rolling Stone having a huge stick up their ass and going for the most inflammatory headline they could come up with.
Remind yourself. Nobody built like you, you design yourself.
I'm a Kid Rock fan. Been to a handful of his concerts. He's an entertainer and he always puts on a great show. I obviously like his older material better than some of his newer stuff but that usually goes the same for most bands and artists. I just don't get the distaste for Kid. Born and raised in the Detroit area. Gives back to the community. Always speaks highly of Detroit. A talented musician. Is it just a disaffinity for his bluesy rock rap musical style? I will admit, it's a very unique style. He's pretty much in a genre all by himself and I guess I can understand why some youngsters, as well as people over the age of 40, might not care for his music.
Golly that sure sounds like a heck of a swell time mister

Any other fans of this track?
I'm sorry....I'm past the point where literally taking shots of Jim Beam and smoking cigars counts for great stage presence. Never seen anyone do that before...
And I don't get the love. I think his music is garbage. I don't care if he likes strippers and smoking. He is a musician and he is bad at it in my opinion. You have another opinion, and if you like what he does, then good.
My point was that he puts on one hell of a live show. Like another poster said, I prefer his earlier work to his current stuff, but that's typically how it goes with artists.
I like Kid Rock's music, but I REALLY enjoy his concerts. And the reverse can be said for many other artists where their studio tracks are amazing, but their performance level as an entertainer is average at best.
If you like it, that's fine. I saw him twice...Once at Small Planet and once at Rick's (just before he hit big). He was playing on bills that a friends band was on. I thought he was awful.....People were laughing at him (he laughs at us now....all the way to the bank). The shows were maybe half full.
I feel the same way then that I do now about him. He's not my thing. If other people like it, good for them.
I can see that...
But that kind of speaks to my point. There's a whole lot of cool production value that goes into a show at Comerica Park for 40,000 fans.
Or 4 shows at Pine Knob
Tickets haven't even gone on sale yet, but Kid Rock's hometown concert stand is already growing.
I'm sure....But it's not really about Kid Rock at that point. It's about the production manager. To call him a great entertainer because he likes strippers, smoking and literally drinking Jim Beam on stage....That's what he can control. The big production value aspect is a lot of workers....I'm sure he is involved to a point.
Kid Rock is not for me. I've heard him....I've seen him. If people like him, I'm glad that they found something that they enjoy. I personally think it's awful....But that's a matter of taste.
I like that song, but if he took out the screaming I would like it a whole lot more.
I like some of Kid Rock's new stuff, but my favorite albums are still Devil Without a Cause, and History of Rock
We get it, you don't like him...to each their own.
Just got Kid Rock tickets
