Do you see Sportscenter coverage for 3-4 days about why a team lost a -regular season- game in any other major sport, professional or college? It's the most analyzed sport in the world, often to a fault.

That simply is not true. We ran a lot of play action with Maxwell this year
RGIII is the 2nd highest rater passer in the NFL. He's also 6th in completion percentage, 2nd in yards per attempt (of qualified QB's). He's also thrown fewer interceptions per attempts than all QB's not named Rodgers and Brady. Those stats are strictly passing, nothing to do with his running or athletism.
Define "a lot" or if there's any access to play distribution statistics I would love to see it. From just watching this season, it definitely seemed like it was a rarity to see a play action. We hardly ever went to PA after gashing the opposing D with a big run; however, this is all purely from observation. We could have two varying definitions of "a lot" or we're just remembering differently.
You're crazy.....Or just delusional. Cousins is the best option for the Skins? Get real. I want Cousins to succeed as much as anyone here, but knocking Griffin doesn't make Kirk have more success. Griffin has had a Rookie of the Year type of season.
He has the #2 QB rating in all of the NFL. He has thrown 4 picks all year. I don't see much of a handicap in his passing game. He can throw.
But - he doesn't have the skins season high for throwing yards in a game this year ;)
Not nearly enough bootlegs though
Kirk looks pretty unstoppable with a competent OC
Very wrong. He is awful on 3rd down. Wanna know why? Because on those downs he is typically forced to be a traditional dropback passer, less able to rely on his athleticism, against a traditional pass defense. Griffin is very good when he can create mismatches and/or wide open receivers by using his athleticism. Otherwise, he stinks.
Cousins is without question a much better passer, and I think better overall. That is obvious watching the games. Griffin has trouble without the benefit of mismatches, which he admittedly can create better than any other QB, with his athleticism.
So now the goal post has moved to RGIII is awful on 3rd down. I guess 1st and 2nd downs don't count.
This guy is slamming the kool aid HARD. Better passer, maybe, but better overall player? Not a chance. And that's not a knock on Cousins, it just says how dynamic RGIII is. He is one of, if not the most productive QB in the NFL this year, and he's a rookie, playing behind a mediocre o-line, mediocre receivers, and with a rookie 6th round running back. The guy is ridiculous.

Florio raise a GOOD point here: they should hold on to KC for at least one more season and I think they will as RG3 is injury prone. He had multiple concussions at Baylor and so far hasn't shown he's smart enough to slide and not get blown up:
No kidding. Imagine if he had a good OC last season at MSU?
Wow, KC had a gun at MSU but he has really improved his arm strength in the NFL. He was putting the heat on some of those throws. It was really fun to watch.
Put down your green pom poms. We all like Cousins, but he is not better than the probable NFL Rookie of the Year.
And you can't say it's without question that Cousins is a better passer because it's being questioned by multiple people in this thread. You can make the case that Griffin is one of the better passers in the NFL this season....statistically. With hard data. Not anecdotal/non-factual, "he sucks on 3rd down" arguments.
Only a MSU fan would say that Cousins is better than RGIII right now.
well, we should have gone undefeated but roushar had to learn on the job a few games
