Tanner - Great post, I would expand to consensus 1st or 2nd round. If prospects are sure fire 1st - 2nd round talent they will be earn big contracts with a a nice signing bonus. 1st - 2nd round talent are likely to compete for early playing time.
Players have risk/reward metrics to evaluate what moving up / down 15 spots could mean in terms of earnings. More players are taking out insurance policies which is smart.
I can't imagine Gholston or Sims had many voices in their ear saying anything later than the 4th round.
Where is J5 grading out at?
I'm with you. If this was the 70's he should have stayed but it's 2013. The NFL is a passing league where the TE is becoming a dominant force. I definitely wanted him to stay, selfishly of course, but I think he'll go 4th round or earlier.
I hope you and Macks are right, in NO way do I want Sims to fail and go late or not at all, I was just voicing my opinion: hope to HELL I'm wrong.
Pretty sure Adams is viewed as a 5th-7th rounder:
I also just stumbled across this article on the steals of the draft by Gil Brandt. He lists Bell and Sims as 2 of those steals. I like his write up on Bell, but he's off on SIms. NO one can convince me he was a 'good blocker' . Simply not true from what I saw. Here it is:

Although I somewhat agree with what he's written, I wouldn't say scouting for the Rams and Browns is very impressive... haven't they sucked lately?
no argument mow07.....I thought that too, but he has a decent degree of credibility I would say. I don't think any of us need him to confirm what we strongly suspect: Bell will be more than fine and SIms and Gholston could be in trouble.
