They're also interested in Texas A&M's Christine Michael. The Broncos are looking for a power runner to replace Willis McGahee and complement Ronnie Hillman. Bell's Combine performance was unimpressive, while Michael's entire college career was unimpressive. Both should be available in the middle rounds of the draft.
Watching Manning and Bell in the same backfield would be fun.

Bell's combine was unimpressive?
I always got the feeling that L'veon is extremely confident in his abilities and will do well no matter where he goes.
u nailed it. just give him his shot and he will thrive, people having been doubting his abilities his whole life.
and dont the broncos still have moreno or is he too fragile?
Yeah, other than his slowish 40 time (which was to be expected) I was under the impression he had a pretty good combine.
IMO the 3 most important attributes for a back would be 1) Durability, 2) Speed, & 3) Elusiveness/moves. I think LeVeon is a great back, but he doesn't have the market cornered in the latter two characteristics.
But he should have stayed in school.... May get to play with a HoF qb and a trip to the SB
I think all along Le'Veon's main selling point was that he's good at just about everything but not dynamic at any one thing (except for durability). That's why some scouts have said he's the best overall RB in the draft.
I don't know anything about Michael, but I have to imagine Manning would like Bell's abilities to (1) pick up and block a blitzer and (2) catch the occasional pass.
I thought he had the 7th fastest time or something average like that, but not slow... I too thought he had a good combine
I'm not sure anybody could run behind the jags or chiefs o-line.
May remind him of a former Indy RB.....
Let me say two things on this subject
A) Bell ran a good 40 for a guy his size, he's durable, a workhorse, confident, patient, powerful, etc. He's not available in the middle rounds if you follow someone as credible as let's say.....Todd McShay
B) Christine Michael is a guy with a girls name first and a man's first name last.
Post draft Analysis, McShay said Bell had a "top 3" performance.
Barry Sanders in his prime could.
Le'Veon Bell is high on...

Yep, I was thinking the same thing. Both Bell and E James had similar college type careers. To me they are the same type of back. They do nothing outstanding but do pretty much everything very good. I think Bell would thrive in Denver.
I think James was faster and more elusive than Bell, but doesn't have Leveons power. Both were exceptional receivers. If Bell has James' career Spartan nation will be proud.

This. Bell had a great combine, ignore the OP's combine speculation.

i do think bell had a good combine, but i think maybe the OP's point was that this isnt a year where there are many stellar backs where everyone's combine numbers were great. le'veon's numbers might stick out a little since there were some sub par backs in the class
The combine may not have been loaded, but anytime you have a potential top 3 overall combine, you did a damn fine job. Bell helped himself considerably due to his combine performance.

Doesn't Michael have a million or so character red flags?
I'd rather not watch Bell play with the two biggest choke artists in the modern NFL, Peyton Manning and Wes Welker.
Nothing to see here, remember how Cousins was high on their list last year?

Uhhh....Bell is incredibly elusive. It's the basis of his game. Go high and you get juked or stiff-armed. Go low and he leaps right over you.
Also, his 4.6 official was much better than expected. The combine absolutely raised his stock.
