To turn things around at nd.
Keeping the sunshiners in check since 2000.
Or to kill a kid.
But seriously it is a lot easier to recruit Notre Dame then to recruit Michigan State.
BK is a winner, he would've done well at MSU
The point of this thread is to say Kelly turned ND around, cool story bro.
Chip Kelly is a pretty decent coach.
Conversely, Mark Dantonio is a winner, and he would have done well at ND.
Don't be such a blower!
Brian Kelly>Mark Dantonio
Kelly would have built an instant winner here with a team filled with John L's recruits.
Boom. Too high of a price.
Don't be such a DE'er!
Just like Dantonio did?
Question is, will BK implode after a successful season or 2? We qlready know BK is winning head to head.
Kelly would have been gone after his second or third season at MSU. I'm glad we have a coach who views MSU as his destination and not just a brief layover.
Getting lots of bites.
He had an alright first season, but then a couple mediocre seasons that were aided by a poor B10. He certainly took a while to get anything going, and it seems to already be on the sharp decline compared to B10 peers.
If Kelly were to be at Michigan State he would of either got fired after having couple a good years and then steadily falling back to subpar mediocrity or he would of won big, demanded more money and then eventually leave for a better job.
Took longer than I thought. Kelly is an excellent coach. Don't know why so many people doubted him a few years ago.
Brian Kelly and Mark Dantonio were both 7-5 in year 1 in the regular season. Of course Brian Kelly had Charlie Weis' recruits and Dantonio had JLS's. In his second season, Dantonio won 9 games and was a game away from the Rose Bowl. In year 2, Kelly won 8 games.
Thank you. If Kelly had the exact same results here that Dantonio did, we would have been looking for a new coach this past offseason.
For the one or two seasons he was here before bolting for ND.
we have Roushar.... so we win

Really? tell me what ND's record was the first two years of Kelly being the head coach (with a hell of a lot more talent than MSU had) and after you do tell me how exactly he would have built a winner immediately when John L. let the cupboard bare outside of a few players.
Not that you'll respond but if you do I suspect you will try to avoid answering the question.

Did ND really have more talent suited to run Kelly's offense at the start than MSU did after John L? I beg to differ...
Hey look, Mudjin Harbor/Donnyrotten/roundhead has a new screen name.
The run game. Simple as that. He stopped throwing the ball 50 times a game.
