Update: It was actually twice as good the next day when I heated it up in the toaster oven. The primary missing characteristic - the crunchy crust - was there all of a sudden and it tasted a LOT better. FAR more Jets-like if you reheat it on a rack so the crust can get toasty...whatever LC is doing leaves it too soft.
I had it tonight. It was pretty good. Tasted some garlic and crunchy crust. It has a lot of cheese and tasted great.
I took pictures and included them, so you can see your yourself.

WTF? Why is it hit and miss per location??
Are they called "Spice Paks" or "Zap Paks" there.
I thought it was supposed to be "Detroit style?"

yeah, that needs way more caramelized cheese on the edges

It's like Jet's 8 corner pizza.
Jet's is way better, but it's good for 8 bucks when a Jet's isn't near.
But I like pepperoni. Don't tell me what to do.
The crust isn't quite as thick as Jet's. Still, it's pretty good
Zap Pack, but I asked for Spice Packs and they knew what I was talking about.
Looks like classic Little Ceasers, pulled out of the oven 5 minutes before it's fully cooked, and the toppings ready to slide right off. I can almost taste the tastelessness from here.
There are really 2 "Detroit style" type of pizzas in my experience.
There is Real Detroit style which you can only find at a handful of places.
Then there is "fast" Detroit style.
Detroit style is defined first and foremost by the deep, square greased pan that is used to bake the pie in. It's what results in the crisp edges that many of us come to associate with Detroit style. However, to go a step further, real Detroit style pie puts cheese first - usually a mix of mozzerella and some sort of mild cheddar, then toppings, then sauce. Yeah, it originated at Buddy's on Conant and then the chef moved on to Louie's and Shields, etc as legend has it. I know it can also be found at Cloverleaf and the Gathering Place in Troy. Not sure where else. Gathering Place pie below.
The "fast" Detroit style is what Jets, the LC Deep Deep, Dolly's and a number of other local pizza chains - it may even be closer to a "Sicilian" style than Detroit style. Even Howie's makes one. It is essentially just a square, deep dish pie using the same pan that Buddy's brought to fame, resulting in the thick cripsed edges crust. Then they top it like normal. Sauce, then cheese, then toppings.
Main differences between the two being the order of the toppings applied and the cheese mix. Buddy's has a sweeter sauce, but I've found that not to be true necessarily at the other "true" Detroit style places.

Knibb High football rules
Meh, it wasn't bad. It'd be better if it were fully cooked, though.
It wasn't bad. The $7 one with free Crazy Bread is the better deal though.
I tried it today. Yeah, nowhere near as good as Jets. Overrated.
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
That looks like cafeteria pizza. Eww.
This one looks way better than the one previously posted
That actually looks pretty good, with actual crispy crust. I've heard alot of reports of soft gooey crust.
We had one last Monday for lunch - had to order and it took 10 minutes, but it was great. Nice, crispy edges and lots of cheese. We then had Jet's with the family on Tuesday night - have to say, I preferred the new LC Deep Deep - maybe the one we had was an anomaly, but it was damn good.
Wait, you had to wait 10 minutes for a pizza that's only on the Hot-N-Ready time slot for 4 hours a day, Nucky? You poor thing.
tRCMB - Where MSU fans eat their own.
Decided to pick up one of these for dinner tonight. Average at best, I give it a solid C. Not a lot of cheese and it was fairly dry. Flavor is meh but not horrible. But, it's been sitting under heat lamps for god knows how long so what do you expect. The pepperoni and crust were the only real positives.
I would say NOT worth the 9 bucks and change. My recommendation would be to drop the hot and ready deep dishes down to 6 or 7 bucks. Charge the $8.99 for freshly made pies. Otherwise you're better off spending a couple extra bucks on a Jets pie to get something that's fresh and tastes better.

"RCMB: You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainry." - some dude from MgoBlog
I liked it. Wasn't the best pizza I've had but I still enjoyed it, I love the crust on that pizza.
I've tried it. Grade of a B- , much better than hot and ready which I won't eat.
If you live in an area where you can buy Jets, I would pay the extra $ for Jets.
If cant get Jets like I can't in Denver, then this new pie isn't a bad deal and I will prolly get once a month or something
i only care about spartans --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqsAJQc-NCY
I thought the one I had was decent. Tasted more like Pizza Hut then LC. I was fortunate to get it right out of the oven.
I haven't gotten around to grabbing on yet, I'm usually eating dinner after 8. Hopefully they make them hot n ready all day if they're successful.
If it tastes like Pizza Hut for 8$ though that would be great. I love PH pan pizza.
The Jets 8-corner pie is a total soul roll.
Miss it dearly.
