That is so awesome.
From the comments - "Legatron". Lol.
Since light travels faster than sound, people appear bright until you hear them speak.
Damn , had my hopes up for Kathy
Well, that does it - screw Jason Hanson. I've never seen him kick a football backwards into a trash can.
How about a Spartan punt returner? Not a single muffed punt.
They signed Devin Thomas.
I thought this was a joke...holy shit, they really did sign him
NFL: Havard Rugland wins contract with Detroit Lions following success of Kickalicious video
Cool video, but why is this guy kicking? He should be playing soccer. Maybe he can't run?
get the new Nike MSU font: http://tinyurl.com/spartansfont
he's 6'2" 240 so he could certainly hold his own on a fb field. he looks like a rugby player - and they are about as tough as athletes get. it would be hilarious if he actually won the job and turned into a long term player.
Awesome video. The rabona he pulls off at :44 is quite impressive.
tRCMB - Visit at your own risk of being disgusted.
"The video led to an unsuccessful tryout for the New York Jets last year."
Well, that doesn't sound too promising.
"RCMB: You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainry." - some dude from MgoBlog
Go figure the circuses that are the New York Jets and Detroit Lions are the ones to give this guy a shot.
Well, the Jets were wrong about Tim Tebow. And Mark Sanchez. And Mike Nugent. And Vernon Gholston. And Kyle Brady. And...
I would think kicker has got to be the easiest position to scout. Either a guy puts it through the uprights or he doesn't.
The trick kicks are kind of cool, but on the field goals he's taking 4-5 steps. Usually a kicker gets two steps before kicking one. If you let any NFL kicker take 4-5 steps they'd be booming 60 yarders too.
I wish they'd sign the unsung hero of that video..... that dude catching all of those kicks.
That, and all the trick kicks from the coffin corner (intersection of the sideline & goalline) are rendered moot by the whole "hashmarks" thing. Worth a shot? Sure, it's the off-season. Do I wish him the best? Absolutely: I'd love to see him perform his way into the starter's job, if only because he's younger and offers more long-term potential than Akers. Do I expect to see him kicking off on Opening Day? Hell, naw -- he's never played competitive football at any level.
Camp leg at best, is my guess, but the best of luck to him.

Thank you, Denicos.
Screw the Lions, someone get this guy a plane ticket to E. Lansing.
if nothing else, he's going to push akers. does anyone really feel that great about david freaking akers as your kicker with the game on the line? i certainly dont
Par for the course. Not every guy makes it to the league first time through. He had an uphill battle beating out Nick Folk.
Both Matt Prater (Broncos), and Steve Hauschka (Seahawks), have been cut from the Lions and caught on elsewhere. Hauschka is actually back on the market, so surprising he didn't land here. I guess he didn't want to have to compete with David Akers.
why not? He's got some skills. We'll see how he does with the ball when 4x320lb lineman are trying to turn him into a soft wet stain on the grass.

isn't the guy from St. Louis already called Legatron?
Greg Zuerlein of the Rams already has that nickname. He started last season on fire, hitting everything out to 60 yards for like the first 7 or 8 games , then finished the season just average. Still, he's got a helluva leg. I expect he will eventually break the 63 yard record.
That last stunt by Kickalicious was pretty awesome
They say he can knock an apostrophe right out of the air.
Great grammar attack. +1
