That looked like Pass interference.
a non-AQ school has to be taken if
1. they finish in the top16
2. finish ahead of the auto-qualifer from a major conference
KSU is at 17. If 16 UCLA loses, KSU will be in the top 16 and ahead of the AQ from the bigEast

Kent beat Rutgers lolz
what an awful throw on 4th down
(My uncle is an alum :) )
Kent's offense is terrible...i'm struggling to understand why they are ranked ahead of NIU.
looking like no BCS for the MAC
Nice job picking it off then taking the quick knee. Better than running out of the endzone and getting stripped.

I said BCS Conference team..
Wait. I'm confused by why you mean here. The announcers made no mention of a possible BCS spoiler.

Didn't PSU score then recover the onside and have a chance to win as well? If they would have won that game, I would have had eternal fury towards all that is Trenton Robinson. That boneheaded move almost cost us a Big Ten title.
And X gets the square.
Would LOVE to see NIU get a shot at the Seminoles. I think they've got enough on both sides of the ball to hang with anyone not playing in the SEC championship game.
Lynch is good and all, but no way NIU can beat FSU without a Tim Lester or Tim Hiller caliber QB.
i forgot about that horrible week 1 loss to Iowa at Soldier Field. iirc NIU got boned in that game too. Would be awesome if they were 13-0 and an easy qualifier. that's two games Iowa had no business winning.
That place has no business being anything more than a US territory.
Give it a break, Turtledick. And Kent kicked the crap out of Rutgers.
You don't say? Really? I had no idea.

so basically now what is need is for kansas state to beat texas and it could be possible.... are they now going to jump Boise State and Michigan regardless??
Michigan is ahead of Boise State and NIU by the slimmest of margins and NIU trails Boise State by a similarly slim margin. The teams NIU needs to jump are, in order, 16) UCLA, 17) Kent State, 18) Texas, 19) Michigan, and 20) Boise State. Texas is at KSU and has been trying out their punter (who used to be a QB at Duke) as an emergency QB in practice this week. We won't know anything definitive until Sunday night, but if K-State can win tonight, NIU is a good bet to jump into the #16 spot.
So what MAC team is going to be playing in the Little Ceasars Bowl?
