If you've seen production drawings than you probably work for MSU. If you are looking at the same sketch that everyone else has, than I think you can hold up on the uproar. Thats also the same drawing that shows the scoreboards as ugly black boxes.
Drawings like that serve the purpose of starting a discussion. No one has seen any presentation drawings.

Eh, I think you should offer him some cheese to go with his whine.
Nίκη για MSU
Nothing too earth shattering, good to hear we're on track with fundraising.
"RENOVATION UPDATE: MSU remains on schedule with its planned renovation to the north end of Spartan Stadium, athletic director Mark Hollis said. MSU's Board of Trustees will get an update from the athletic department today on planning for the project.
The estimated $20-million endeavor -- involving $14 million in donations, of which more than $10 million has been raised -- is expected to be completed in time for the 2014 season. MSU is constructing a two-level building that will include new locker rooms, a recruiting room and a media center."
I thought it was supposed to be complete by the start of this season, not 2014. Am I wrong on this one?
Yes. I think that would be way, way too soon for them to get it done in time and like the above article says, MSU is still in the process of raising money.

No they will be working on it this year and they said it shouldn't get in the way during this season. They said it'll be ready before the 2014 season. Hopefully we it is done in time for getting recruits in there.
To die in ann arbor is redundant
Wish they would release some mock up drawings soon of what the inside would look like, especially the new locker rooms and recruiting center. I think avowing potential 2014 recruits and so on would really get a kick out of seeing what they might get to be a part of in the future.
They usually do. I recall PSU making a big deal of their plans for a new weight room.
"No sense in spending millions without letting people know it." (I believe it was tanfan who said that... maybe Gandhi. I could be wrong).
I know a guy who works for a builder presenting to Dantonio, Izzo others. Don't know if they picked a construction company yet. Seems like the presentations are going on now.
tanfan Ghandi... either/or... same thing virtually.
As in more three star recruits for md?
Keeping the sunshiners in check since 2000.
The beauty of this is it won't be long and you will be one. Trust me ...
As in... the length of your current ban... In Minutes
The rennovation is sorely needed and the drawing looks great, but it seems like a lot to spend with no increase in seating capacity ala generating a potential source of increased revenue? Based on that fact, calling it a "stadium expansion" is a bit misleading

"I think the world is run by C students"
We don't need more seats. We do need to improve the quality of the stadium facilities, both for players and fans. Quality over quantity. Plus, who knows... maybe better facilities for the media and the refs will help get rid of that giant conspiracy against MSU...
That increase in revenue would come from people filling those seats, which seems like a tall order right now.
ay carumba, is that all you got anymore old man?
btw: May someone's Grandmother piss on your socks!
(that's for hating MSU and constantly whining about it... )
There's no conspiracy. Media and refs are against us
Increased seating capacity?
I guess you missed the 67 threads predicting how much ticket sales were going to go down this year.
Any updates on this?
Also, what do you think the next project will be? I want us to give Breslin a bit of an overhaul. I think it looks great on the inside but I think there could be some major upgrades to the concourse, perhaps a more impressive entrance, and a better entrance for our players.
Michigan State University is the university of Michigan
It is in the planning stage now.
Spartan Stadium - Addition 5 - North End Zone
April 2012 - April 2013
Description: The north end of Spartan Stadium has a number of issues that need to be addressed. There are just-in-time maintenance needs in the concourse, and the locker rooms need to be upgraded. The stadium currently lacks a formal recruiting space and game-day media space is inadequate.
The planning of this project is anticipated to include creating a two-level addition; adding recruiting rooms to the concourse floor; addressing maintenance needs; upgrading locker rooms and team spaces; creating media rooms on the lower level of the addition; and adding shell space for future restroom and concessions facilities.
According to the latest Construction Junction Authorization to proceed will be on the June BOT agenda.

The fairchild renovation pics in that link look great! That place needed it badly.
I would hope it's a little beyond planning stages...
Should be closer to the approval stages if anything
From everything I read last year I assumed they were starting on it this spring.
