You definitely have to wear compression shorts under them because of this cool double "stabilizing rubber" per se around the inside of the waistband which really prevents frictional displacement. They are really light and the fabric is thin and it kinda feels like a really smooth vinyl is how I would describe it. I don't know what Nike refers to the material as. I'm about to play in them as we speak and see how $80 shorts perform. Will post updates after.
I've never understood this mentality. We've lost games in our traditional gear, does that mean you won't buy any of our standard jerseys?

We've also won games in the traditional jerseys...
We've won in alternates also what's your point brah
"If you're worried about Wolverine fans, just move to Pasadena. You'll never have to deal with 'em."
Im just saying that I personally don't want to pay a lot for a jersey that we've never won wearing. That's it...just a personal thing and was addressing that dude's comment. I'm not going to rip anyone who does buy it though - if they get clearanced, I might get one too.
Maybe we should only pull out Hyper Elites, Pro Combats, HydroChromes, etc. against cupcake opponents so as to eliminate this issue??
We had a .667 winning percentage in the silver uniforms...not sure what it was in the script state throwback uniforms, but I'm thinking it's about the same.
Got the shorts in the mail today. Very light and it has pockets which is nice but unusual, usually basketball shorts don't.
I got Size M. They fit good but would like to try Large to compare. Don't want too baggy though.
"This is the strangest life I've ever known"

Played in them today. Little confidence booster. Played pretty fuckin well I must say. Very comfy. The waistband might take some time to get used to, I would probably suggest compression shorts.
Anyone need XL shorts? I bought two sizes and before I return the other to Campus Den, thought I might save a fellow Spartan some $$$ as I was able to use both discount codes, and I didn't have to pay for tax or shipping.
Looking for $61 shipped.
Shorts $80 - 25% discount - $5 discount + $6 shipping = $61

50 bucks take it or leave it.
Actually 61 is a decent price. I may take it off your hands.
PM me...I'm interested. I bought the Chuck Rogers jersey, so I'm a repeat customer.
We are the SPARTANS and They are NOT!!! [spartan 2]
Yo agis I wore your ball so hard shirt to the gym the other day brah.
Seth Davis loved our unis FWIW:
What's the deal with all these teams wearing tone-on-tone jerseys? I've seen Baylor, Tennessee, N.C. State and Kansas pull this look with their uniforms in the last month. You can hardly see the names, numbers and team names until the camera zooms in. I get that the players probably think the jerseys are neat, but what's the point of putting something on a shirt if you can't read it?
--Bobby Reynolds, Utica, NY
The reason for the kitschy jerseys is obvious: It's the marketing. And let me say, I have absolutely no problem with that. There is such wide exposure of this sport that schools have every reason -- indeed, much incentive -- to jazz up their unis to break through the clutter. So it becomes a matter of taste.
What do all the places that Bobby named have in common? They are all adidas schools. For my tastes (and apparently a lot of other people's as well) those Kansas uniforms were pretty horrendous. Perhaps the good folks at adidas were unaware that the vast majority of people who laid eyes on those uniforms would be seeing them on television. The names and numbers were impossible to read.
Contrast that with the jerseys worn by Michigan State for its game at Indiana last weekend. It wasn't just the jerseys, either. The Spartans were rocking the gold shoes, too, which I thought looked awesome. I've got no dog in this hunt, but let's face it -- Nike is just better at this stuff. Now if we can only get them to fix that unsightly court at Oregon.
We are just three days from the biggest sporting event in the world. That means we're four days from having millions of bereft football fans turn their lonely eyes to college basketball.
I heard some positive things around here about the Michigan State jerseys. A common response was "Those jerseys were so awesome, but man, I wish they won that game."

are we getting any michigan state nike sphere performance tops? it's been brutally cold in san diego and I hate having to layer up to jog.
what size did you end up keeping?
Large. They are long and baggy, like all Nike bball shorts.
I expect this from Adidas, but not from Nike on $80 shorts.
Don't combat so hard next time.
Why the hell did we wear these for a road game?
