Well I didn't start the thread but lighten up a little. Nothing wrong with a little schadenfreud when it comes to UM.
It's gotta be Bartelstein..
You are right on all accounts, although I'd kill to have Stauskus coming off the bench.
"No one cares what you know, until they know how much you care." Mark Dantonio
Really? Stauskus? A guy who cannot guard anyone, cannot rebound , and shoots 35% from 3 in conference play? Travis Trice is more valuable right now.
The kid's shooting will come back around, he's got nice size and could easily be coached up to rebound and defend better. You're crazy if you don't think he's going to be a player.
Really, a neg vote???

Sorry to burst your bubble, but in case you haven't noticed a lot of posters share my sentiment.
Punisher, if you honestly can't agree with Binford4State's post (seeing as how it includes facts and evidence and past similar scenarios and such), you just have your head up your
No way. Dawson can chip in double digits on any given night and can also defend and rebound like a mofo. He brings more to the table than Stauskus who can really only shoot, and when he's off, he's pretty much worthless.

"RCMB: You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainry." - some dude from MgoBlog
Hardaway is almost guaranteed to fail in the NBA. he'll get drafted in the late teens or 20s...but he's a bust waiting to happen. he's nothing but a shooter - and he's inconsistent at that. He's incredibly easy to get off his game because he whines like a baby at every little thing that doesn't go his way, and once he misses a couple he's done. He doesn't have the strength to defend bigger, stronger, and faster NBA guys, and will flame out spectacularly if he even makes a roster. he'll be in Turkey or Greece by the end of 2014.
and where did this 60% thing come from? a thread here?
Dawson has been as consistent as the weather. I will still take him over Stauskus because of his potential.
Are you talking about Stauskus or Byrd? Or Gauna?
Trice can already defend and rebound better and isn't exactly a midget.
Seriously, why the neg votes? I'm not saying I don't like Trice because I love that kid, but you can't deny that Stauskus would have been a nice piece to add to this team if we had been in on him. Jeebus!
The kid's shooting has fallen off because teams are paying him 1% attention more in the conference season than before. Be within 10 feet of him before on a pass close out under control.
Also, I dig how defensive liabilities with no lateral quickness can be "easily coached up".
If this is true then Brady Hoke only has 60% of the body fat of Travis Trice.
Michigan has one player who makes it happen (Burke)..
The only reason Michigan might be good next year is the freshman they have coming in.
Right now for the most part they suck. When appling limited Burke in EL the rest of the team looked lost.
I don't know. I think Izzo woulda kept McGary and Burke around.
Lol do you honestly think that I give a shit what some dork or a bunch of other posters on here think about me? People I'll never even meet in my life
Nice rating by the way, if you're going to turn this into a popularity contest, at least don't have neg bombs nail you every time you post

Many good points and for sure we all love Draymond but in terms of NBA talent, Payne is a better prospect. He's more athletic, faster and has a better inside game due to his size. If he continues his development he's a 1st round pick.
I agree, which is why I made the Jujuan Johnson comparison as well. He and Payne are very similar players. I also agree with you that Payne can elevate to a high 1st round pick by honing some of his skill set, specifically post moves/inside game.
Agree completely. Payne's jumper is a huge addition for him. That thing is smoooooth
Jajuan never had a 3ball and his mid range was iffy at best but he was strong in the post. Payne has range out to the 3 and might be a little less apt in the post but still decent. These two players don't really compare and with the way the NBA is now, teams look for stretch 4's a la Payne.
Don't kid yourself. Michigan has a lot of talented athletes. They have some young guys who will get better. Do you really think that a school that idolizes the Fab 5, ignoring the fact that they represent the complete corruption of college sports, would stop short of anything except maybe murder to be able to field a team "worthy of Michigan".
Johnson's mid range by his senior year was incredible. That was made him so good. Further, Johnson shot 30% from 3 as a senior, and he averaged 2 shots a game from 3. That's pretty decent numbers for a big man. Payne is better at 3's as you mentioned, but Johnson was better inside. I think they are very comparable players.
