SIAP didn't see it on the first 2 pages.
You never hear the good stories, just the tragic ones.
With one shot, an off-duty sheriff's deputy took down a gunman who attempted to opened fire at a crowded movie theater lobby during a late night showing of in San Antonio, WOAI reports. Police say a gunman, identified as Jesus Manuel Garcia, chased patrons from the...
What the fuck is going on with people!!!
Good for the off duty sheriff woman... Nice job. Article reads like shit - so she shot and dropped the gunman - he got up and ran and she plugged him again?
seriously, that article was horribly written. I'm really not entirely sure what happened at all.
A Spartan Today, A SPARTAN FOREVER. Through thick and thin, low and high water I strive to be the best Spartan ever.
i'm glad she got him, but sounds like if the crazy bastards gun didn't jam he would have killed people before she had the chance.
Your average UofM fan and I have something in common, neither of us went to UofM. Though we do share One major difference, I got Accepted.
Person A: More gun control!
Lonewolfsparty: stairs kill more people, good thing he didn't bring stairs
Person C: Wells

When you sit at the computer and scroll back up four times saying "wait.. what the fuck?", it's not a good article..
So in addition to making sure everyone has guns, we need to make sure everyone is an experienced off-duty sheriff.
While not paying a single tax dollar for either.
They should deport him to Mexico.
hoke- to alter or manipulate so as to give a deceptively or superficially improved quality or value.
The theater was named "Mayan".... 12/21/12, we gone.
I read the same poorly-written piece this morning and was like, WTF?
So I went looking for a better one. Here it is:
Yes, the deputy involved is a chick.
Yes, she dropped him, but not in one shot. She fired four times.
No, she was not able to ventilate the thug sufficiently to cease pulmonary function.
Yes, most broads are turrible shots. (That one is not in the above linked article...just me editorializing).
Glenn Beck's The Blaze website:
"Bexar County sheriff’s Sgt. Lisa Castellano reportedly chased the gunman toward the back of the theater. The 13-year department veteran cornered him after he ran into a men’s restroom and shot him before taking his gun."
"Garcia was finally stopped by an off-duty Bexar County Sheriff's Department officer who was working security at the theater. Officials said the officer, Sgt. Lisa Castellano, heard the gunfire inside the theater and ran towards the sound of the shooting to find out what was going on. Sgt. Castellano spotted Garcia coming out of a bathroom with his gun drawn and fired at him, shooting him four times."
This story needs to be broadcast by all the major networks for the next 2weeks, so that the crazies realize that they might not have the only gun at the theater.
Yeah crazy people have the ability to think that logically.
The gunman in Colorado didn't go to the nearest, biggest, or busiest theater to his house...he went to the only one of seven theaters in a 20 mile radius of his house that had a ban on guns.

I think the fact that Dec 21 is supposed to be the end of the world is making a lot of people do crazy shit because they think there will be no repercussions.
Why is someone trying to shoot a gun in a theater a "good" story?
He also set off gas and smoke bombs in the theater before he started shooting. I doubt if he had gone to a theater where they allowed guns that a person sitting with their back to the doors looking at the screen would be able to get up - turn around - have good enough vision to see through the darkness and the smoke - pull out his/her gun - find the nutcase through the panicked crowd, darkness, and smoke - aim his/her gun - then shoot Holmes. Too many things would have had to work in the armed movie patrons favor to have been able to stop the Aurora killer. These killers always have the element of surprise in their favor,
All we know for sure is that he chose to take guns to a place that didn't allow guns when he had more accessible options closer to him. That doesn't seem like coincidence to me.
And he shot at people from the front of the theater. He first sat in the front row, then went out an emergency exit in front (which he propped open), got into his gear, got his guns, and came back to the theater, dispensed tear gas or a smoke bomb, and started shooting into the crowd.
What we don't know for sure is that he chose that movie theater specifically because it banned guns. Has he said that was the reason he went to that theater? Or is that just speculation from conservative media outlets?
He had body armor on he wasn't afraid of somebody else with a gun. As I said he always had the element of surprise working in his favor. He had the smoke bombs working in his favor, As I said even if a movie patron with a gun had been there that night James Holmes had to many things working in his favor. The gas alone would have disabled a person with a gun.
Not all people with guns with the intent to hurt others are deterred because others might have guns. For example the Crips know that the Bloods have guns and the Bloods know that the Crips have guns too. But they still shoot and kill each other.
Can you please keep your idiocy contained to Wells?
tRCMB - Visit at your own risk of being disgusted.
They're are now saying that the crazy murderer who killed the kids had been planning it for a while. So if you have the capacity to think and plan something, then yes I think that they might take the fact that there might be guns in to consideration in developing or following through with their plan.
All the other theaters had alarms on their emergency exits.
