If that one fatal shot takes out the intruder, there's no further discussion. Lining up the wounded kids and firing point blank into their heads cannot be defended.
I read the news today, oh boy .. ..
About a lucky man who made the grade
His whole story sounds really suspect to me. It speaks volumes that other articles say his first call was to neighbors regarding lawyers and not to police. In fact the police were called by the neighbors and not him. I don't think his story makes any sense.
What is it about river people that make them so weird?
That said what doesn't make sense to me is that these kids break in the house together. Girl hears multiple gunshots, the other kid is nowhere to be seen so she walks into the basement? Something doesn't add up.
Must have been neo-nazi's or the MSU hockey team.
Exactly. The shooter imo is not being truthful in his recollection of events it seems. Possibly a crafted story during the 18 hours he sat there before calling his neighbors.
If your father had pulled out like he should have, you would have never been born.

Or she was on drugs, or just curious to what the loud noises were, or she was just a moron.
Depending on where they parked, it seems like he could have just dumped the bodies and nobody would know.
Long ass driveway and no way any neighbors are seeing into his place.

or is just the business you're in (Drugs)?
Nίκη για MSU
The guy went way overboard and didnt need to "finish them off", but I don't have sympathy for the two kids. If that makes me cold, so be it.
You have no clue how crazy a person is when they break into your house and the same could be said for the person whose house you break into.
If you don't want to be executed by a crazy older guy with guns, don't go breaking into homes.
There's a time and a place for everything and it's called college.
I'm having a hard time deciding what I think about this whole story. On the one hand, I know the guy went WAY too far, but I also know how angry you get when you're being robbed.
I was asleep in bed around 3AM one night when I thought I heard someone breaking into my house. About 30 seconds later, I saw someone peek their head around the door frame to my bedroom. I was kind of stunned for a second, but when the guy went back down the hallway, I practically lost it. I ran into my closet, grabbed my .380 and went charging down the hallway. Just as I got into my living room, I saw two guys go running out of my front door.
The rage is pretty indescribable and I'm not sure if I would have had the presence of mind, in the heat of the moment, to stop shooting even when I knew there was no longer a threat. Thankfully they ran out before I could get there so I didn't have to find out.
Ultimately, I just can't get over the guy waiting a full day to call the police.
I know, cool story bro.
That is it.
I recommend everyone listens to this. It may save your life someday.
There is a part 2 below.
An experienced police officer tells you why you should never agree to be interviewed by the police.

Question authority. Power to the people
This is why I don't believe that civilians should be allowed to have firearms. It's too difficult for untrained people to make decisions when emotional. Carrying or having a gun in the home increases your chances of getting shot yourself 4.5 times over.
All in all I guess I'm okay if someone wants to keep a gun in their house, however I do not believe in concealed weapons. I don't want some dumbfuck next to me at the movie theatre packing heat and being a vigilante.
Not true. Definition of insanity is a matter of law which will be applied by the judge. The jury determines matters of fact.
Well, this route can turn Wells in a hurry, but while your view is safer in principle, it just can't be executed on. It is impossible to prevent guns from getting in the hands of people. Those people include the crazies. The crazies get guns, regular citizens will fight for guns of their own to protect themselves from the crazies. We're back at today.

Oh I get it. People that buy guns don't have any logic. I just don't like that concealed weapon permits endanger myself and my families life. 95% of the people in this world are stupid and/or can't be trusted. I'd prefer for those people to keep their guns at home.
Those carrying concealed have went through training and federal background checks. Those carrying concealed illegally are who I would be worried about.
Yeah, because no one would want him crucified after he used a "good, clean finishing shot" to end the suffering of a black woman.

I know people that have gone through that "training" and those background checks. I'd prefer that they didn't have guns. I have every right to not want some dumbfuck next to me at a restaurant having a gun. It's pointless to discuss. I don't like my rights infringed upon under any circumstances.
I think this guy went too far.
Same token, kids broke into the wrong rec-room.
And FYI, I don't worry about either, just don't agree with that being legal. I don't trust anyone, I've read too many people's opinions on here. Chances of me getting shot are next to 0. I don't do anything that will get myself shot.
I strongly agree with this. His story about the girl's actions doesn't make any sense.
I can think of many more likely stories--one that uses the elements of his story would be that he initially confronted them openly and the girl laughed so he shot her and then he chased the boy down.
A teenage girl with a drug problem in the basement of a lonely, older man makes me speculate about prostitution/robbery scenarios which also would explain why her laugh would be important to his story.
"losing Caleb Benenoch is a blow that Dantonio will never recover from. Izzo has lost it as well. Hoke and Beilein own the state."
Oh I know, I think it already turned that way unfortunately. I should probably not let me opinion known on this because to be honest it's not really an important issue to me and don't really feel like debating it and the gun crazies come out in droves the second you make a comment about not liking the ability for civilians to carry.
