Meatloaf's BOOH isn't even in the Top 25 of definitive 70s albums. Maybe in sales, but not quality. IMO, BOOH sucks.
The Clash, London Calling, Nevermind the Bollocks, The Ramones, Road to Ruin, Ziggy Stardust, Who's Next, The Cars, Exile on Main Street, Led Zepplin 4, Aerosmith, Lust for Life, etc.... The list goes on and on before BOOH.

If you can do a half-assed job of anything, you're a one-eyed man in a kingdom of the blind.

Difficult to dispute. Pretty much launched an entire genre of music.
I like BOOH but the Eagles dispute your claim
Was wondering if anyone would mention Exile on Main Street, possibly my favorite ever.
I'd also throw Traffic, Low Spark of High Heeled Boys in your list.

Calling bat out of hell, "Meatloafs" album is a bit disingenous.
Jim Steinman wrote every recognizable song on the LP. I get that being the voice behind it has its merit, but if your going to claim its the best LP of the 70's I'd say its import to note Meatloaf had very little if any creative input into its formation.
Steinman wrote every song on there, not just the recognizable ones.
The album is titled Meatloaf, Bat out of Hell, songs by Jim Steinman. It's called a collabaration and it is noted on the cover.
So, have you broke the news to your wife yet? Parents? (NTTAWWT)
The title of the thread made me wonder if the OP knew that.
