we'll see soon enough...maybe it was more Maxwell than many of us were willing to admit. The SCum game really intrigued me today. For that matter, the last 5 games of theirs have intrigued me: you notice how they TOOK OFF once Borges had the Detard shackles taken off? Maybe it'll be the same with Maxwell next year: we already looked better when Cook came in. (NO I'm not saying he's the savior or the starter: just that we looked better)

Good for him. Best of luck to a great Spartan!
The moment is eternal
Yeah and he got drafted in the sixth round.
Did you notice all the different stuff we did with Cook in? Read option, pistol formation etc. maybe Maxwell really was limiting us.
I would personally like to see him go to the Rose Bowl!
He's also been a starter since day 1 for a playoff team.
Tom Izzo cured Magic's HIV
I wish he would stay for selfish reasons, but I cannot blame him one bit for leaving. Good luck to him and make us proud in the NFL! Great Spartan!
Best wishes to him if he goes.

Colts would be good. I'd like to see the Falcons take him at the end of the 2nd and replace Michael Turner.
Gardner was off the mark today.
I did notice their WRs get wide open a lot.
That is awesome for the kid. Hope he has a great career in the nfl.
I suspect that he will also be working with speed coaches and possibly drop ten pounds to get more agile for the combines. Kid could go higher than expected (not first round but maybe in the second depending on who might fall in love with him).
Either way very happy for the kid. Still remember reading CBD's evaluation of the commit and everyone on here whining about a two star rb with a bowling green offer that was destined to be a blocking back for us.
Go Green Leveon and look forward to rooting for you in the nfl.
Bummer for the team. Best of luck to him in the NFL.
Good for him, a running backs career is limited and he won't really improve his draft stock by staying one more year.
Let's be real, here -- after the Boise State 3-int disaster ("he throws too hard!") and the lack of improvement before B1G play, we abandoned the throw to the middle of the field. Everything was either a deep out/curl, short dump pass (behind the sticks) or a long deep ball to Burbridge, usually overthrown.
That's not to mention that Maxwell for some reason never learned the bubble screen (or a regular screen for that matter). Kirk Cousins made a living on the bubble screen to Keshawn, the 8-10 yard slant to BJ and the deep post to the tight ends. We couldn't run those plays this year because Maxwell has no touch and the coaches didn't trust him to throw those passes with accuracy.
Some people are gamers, some people aren't. Stats be damned, I'm on the Cook bandwagon next year unless O'Connor or Terry take his job. Maxwell had his chance this year but now it's time to hold the clipboard and support your teammates. You never know, maybe we'll need him again.

Not a surprise at all. He had an incredible career at MSU, leaving with 29 (?) wins under his belt. Hope he surprises people in the NFL just like he did in East Lansing.

I agree. I hope he does go that high, though.
Last thing the Lions need is another power back. They need a speedster like Jonathan Franklin from UCLA.
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
This. Leshourse + Joique Bell + a speed back could actually work pretty well with the rest of the pieces they have on offense.
Remind yourself. Nobody built like you, you design yourself.
We will miss you Leveon. Go get paid and good luck in the NFL.

It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
Good luck Le'Veon and thanks for all the memories!!
The will to succeed is important, but what's more important is the will to prepare.
He has been awesome to watch. Do work Le'Veon
Best of luck to him in the NFL - I sincerely hope there will be some Le'Veon Leaps to cheer for!
