Though you've done a good job trying to stop all of the spam in the Bres and Wells, it really appears to be futile. You could be fighting the "good fight" forever and still have no chance of keeping up. My suggestion is to quit trying to delete the posts and force 247 to do something about it. As a paying member for a few years, 247 isn't keeping up to its side of the bargain. So, quit "modding" until they come up with a non fire fighting solution.

but we came here because of all the VBulletin security issues lol
247's solution is to VIP the board only.
We are not leaving 247.
247 VIP'ed tBB and gives out freep VIP to allow users to contuinue to post.
tRCMB will not be doing this.
There is no other solution on the table.
Live with it or leave.

Just when I thought wells couldn't be any less readable they go and do this...
Who made you the spokesman for tRCMB?
Do you see my Sig? This is the offical 247 seal.
GAK! Noah will hear about this.
Just curious but why would spammers hit the slow boards and not here?
No shit. I've been deleting and banning on Breslin for the last 45 minutes on mobile. There were at least 2 pages solid of spam.
I made my decision. This site, even with the "premium" content, is no longer worth paying for.
Go VIP only does seem to be the only option right now. I'm all for it on the recruiting sites but not our main site.
You could have a post count threshold or something.
Sparty is our mascot, we are Spartans.
Easy fella, I got a week ban for saying that!
Fishrose has been saying it for awhile.
If you want to get crazy on the recruiting board, you can "pin" all recruiting threads. If a user posts a new thread, they can PM a mod to pin it.
If 247 has that capability
What would it take to make you a subscriber again?
They have made it very clear since Day 1 what their priorities are.

I haven't subscribed for the following reasonable reasons:
Mandatory 10 post minimum before starting a thread.
Every message board on the internet has these things except this one, it's pathetic.
Maybe valid reasons for you, but they seem completely ridiculous to me as reasons to not pay for articles and information. You aren't subscribing to a "message board" you're subscribing to a recruiting/sports information site. People don't typically go to Rivals or Scout because of their message board features.
The RCMB is a business and they sell a product. I'm interested in their product and WANT TO GIVE THEM MONEY but they wont make simple software changes that were possible in 1991 to make the product worth my money. If other companies consistently ignored their clients wishes like the RCMB does they'd be in a lot of financial trouble. Stop with the excuses, make the damn changes and everyone wins.
Well, tRCMB didn't have multi-quote until about 2006 ;)
I get it, I do. I just think that the last reasons to subscribe or not subscribe to this kind of site are tiny message board features. Things that if implemented, would be available to everyone for free.
1.) Site management taking control over the trolls and blatant racists before cracking down on naughty language.
2.) Staff writers who exercise professionalism in their articles instead of bashing former players and acting like bitchy no-life posters instead of journalists.
3.) Staff writers who aren't last to report anything that happens with a recruit (decides not to take a visit, unexpected visits, etc.) on a Saturday or Sunday.
So why is it that when a recruit isn't on campus for a scheduled visit we're the last site to be told about it? SM and tOC report on it, sites for other teams in the running for said recruit report on it, and apparently the largest and most active MSU sports board on the web doesn't have anybody in East Lansing who cares enough to find out and let us know. This is not a one-time issue. It happens very frequently, and I'm not going to pay for that kind of half-assed journalism.
Sounds like you want to go to one of those other boards. Don't let us stop you.
