About time for the hammer to drop brahsss
Saw a guy with a 247sports t-shirt at the gym this morning. I laughed.
Then you probably shouldn't pay for any recruiting site. You are going to be disappointed by all of them. I know that our writers bust their asses. You obviously have issues with some (or just one) of them here.
Might have been me!!!

True and I'm totally fine with that. I'll continue to use their board free of charge. However, it's unfortunate that we can't come to an agreement that benefits both of us like making some software changes in return for my subscription fees but that's business for you...oh wait...that's not how business works.

It was that same logo and color scheme (as in your sig). I think it may have had a ".com" on the end of it though. Guy looked kind of like a geek though...couldn't have been you.

247 has a knack for coming up with shitty solutions to simple problems.
Oh, that was Ktiemac.
It's been a consistent problem that the writers here phone it in (at best) on Saturdays and Sundays. That doesn't happen on other sites, as evidenced by the fact that they consistently beat the SpartanTailgate writers to the punch for news that happens on those days.
I also have a serious issue with the quality of many recent articles on this site. The writers here used to be journalists; now they write like they're RCMB posters with actual inside information. Frankly, I'm not willing to pay for that. If I want old news reported to me in a bitchy and biased manner, I can just read the message board.
How about most of the insider information on recruiting is at best smoke and mirrors and bs. Oh and then you have to put up with O$U Bill and his articles. CBD has good info but the info from the staff every week is less and less credible throughout the recruiting season.
Or no solutions to stupidly simple problems. I mean seriously is 247's only idea to fix the spam problem to make the entire site premium.....?

I know right? I went to Wendy's and ordered a big mac this morning. They told me they didn't sell them! Bastards, they have the stuff to make it. WHY WOULDN'T THEY! I will be going back there and complaing about it from hence forth!
The best way to fix the problem is to require users to enter a CAPTCHA to create a new account. Without CAPTCHA protection, it's not hard for spammers to write scripts to create new accounts and post spam.
It's the Chinese, they are going after the NYTimes, Bres and Wells. Domino effect.
These spammers are editing their posts and sometimes have 50+ posts.
Yeah, but it's going to take some time for even a state-of-the-art network like this to adopt that sort of bleeding edge, 13-year old technology.
I come here for the message boards and not the articles. It seems to me that most of the recruiting has not been updated in awhile anyways and most of the information comes from the threads on the message boards. It is a joke though that a company is not focused on what their customers want. It is simple marketing that if you listen to what the customers want your business will triumph over the competition.
Even if us customers are not VIP members we are still bringing up traffic to the site that meets your advertising quota and keeps VIP members here because we are also bringing them content and another opinion to articles posted. I think 247 should have a mod that is more inclined to keep their members here rather than telling them to shove it and go to another site that already offers our demands for an updated message board. As i said before, I come here for the other members, not the journalists and when you push them out your pushing others with them.

Come on... You don't think the mods are welcoming???
Nice to see Nucky has built a business model around his posting.
I like it when spammers are posting in other spammer threads.
There's the issue for me I guess. The key thing about tRCMB for me is the board and discussion. I don't give a shit about recruits and what 16 year olds are saying on twitter. But I guess the direction this has been going for a while has been to paywall articles about who's dad said what while taking a piss. And eventually all that's left of tRCMB is spam, Nucky and links to said articles.
