Fuck you, science.
I've actually gone 43 days before. #ironwill
Just watched Brave on DVD last night. Liked it a lot. Looks great in Bluray, and pressurized the room at a few points....Sure the neighbors appreciated that.
I thought that movie was going to suck, but I was laughing thru most of it.
Just watched "Wall Street" on AMC and Gordon Gekko was right that "Greed is good"...if you're Gordon Gekko.
Last night, and again right now, they're showing the sanitized version of "Casino". It's difficult to watch when so much of the new dialogue doesn't match the lip movements and doesn't make any sense. Example: Ginger is storming out of the house and is yelling at Sam, "Freak you! Freak you!"
I read the news today, oh boy .. ..
About a lucky man who made the grade
Watch The Patriot on TV soime time. It is such a bad movie. The editing is like a Sc- Fi movie or something. Its werid how they will pretty leave the Omaha Beach scene in SVP untouched though.
The Dictator - Some funny moments, but overall kind of stupid. Not Sacha's best work.
Marley - Documentary on the life, music, and legacy of the genius from Jamaica. Excellent. Highly recommend.

I must be crazy to be in a loony bin like this.
watched "The Campaign" last night. Alot of funny parts in the first half. Slowed down in the second half. Still decent for being free at the library.
21 Jump Street is probably the best example "surprisingly good" movie recently. They did a great unintentional job of lowering expectations to the point where a decent comedy was a very pleasant surprise.
"You guys report down to Jump Street....37 Jump Street...wait, that's not it..."
When Ice Cube blasts remakes
Air America - somewhat implausible but entertaining
Company Men - heartwarming tale and good look at how corporate greed is destroying this country
We've got depth. We've got numbers.
The Imposter (2012)
Fascinating documentary about a guy who posed as someone who had been missing for about 3 years. The imposter, Bourdin, recounts all the steps he took to be convince people he was the missing boy/teenager. The last 20 minutes are amazing. Highly recommended.
Midnight Cowboy. Weird. Kind of liked it. Thought it would be more shocking than it turned out to be.
City Island (2010)
Andy Garcia family comedy/drama.
Funny parts, not bad overall. His real life daughter plays the same role in the movie. In her.

For previous post
Skyfall was decent (7/10), Lincoln was excellent (9/10) ...
I just saw Bernie and found this thread to spread the word on it. If you haven't seen it by now, go for it. It's on Netflix. The interviews with the townspeople are amazing. They do an amazing job of creating a realistic small town that isn't condescending. Jack Black, Shirley MacLaine, and Matthew McConaughey all did a great job as well. Plus the story is pretty crazy. (9/10)
Dark knight rises. I can handle plot holes... to a point and then it just gets stupid. And that movie was stupid.
Damnit! Just when I got back up to 4 stars too!
Bernie is a little undiscovered gem. Jack Black's best performance by far IMO.
Tora Tora Tora
Just saw Skyfall last night. I hadn't seen a Bond movie since Tomorrow Never Dies and man...was I impressed. I felt like this particular edition seemed a lot like a Bourne movie, but I thought it was incredibly well done. And, I hate to say it, but I actually liked Adele's rendition of the theme song. First Adele song I've ever liked. She just has the right voice for Bond stuff I guess. Solid 8/10
Just watched Memento...
My name is Leonard, see if have this condition... *scene*... My name is Leonard, see if have this condition... *scene*... My name is Leonard, see if have this condition...*sceene*
Ground hogs day on crack
Awesome movie... Obviously Leonard's wife had the insulin problem but did Lenny kill her? If so, was it insulin overdose?
Kill John G!!!

Bernie is great. I'm a big Skip Hollinsworth fan so I was interested to see how Linklator made a black comedy out of a true-crime, long form magazine piece. It was really well done.
Another great movie streaming on Netflix is Headhunters. It's a Swedish thriller starring the actor who plays Jaime Lannister in Game of Thrones.
