This thread is gold.
Come on MAC schools, you've got a chance to hire a guy who's been a part of SIX consecutive bowl eligible seasons, a B1G conference title, and back to back 11-win seasons. You can't afford not to do it.
tRCMB - Visit at your own risk of being disgusted.
ahhhhhh.....yeah, and he is DYNAMIC in the recruiting arena too: second to none really.
There has to be some scandalous dirt on this Rod Carey guy that tRCMB can dig up.
Besides him helping Craig James MURDER 5 HOOKERS IN COLLEGE?!?!
Can't we get someone to sneak in his office in the football building and plant some type of sordid porn on his computer? Yeah, I'm that desperate.

I'd be willing to testify under oath that he has no peers in that regard.
Watch Narduzzi take it, and Roushar stay. http://buzztap.com/-tdUvGK
Someone hired John L Smith. Twice.
I really hope that they don't poach our wide receiver(Samuels) and offensive line(Statten) coaches as well. Please don't take those guys with Roushar, we need their player development skills too much.
no doubt: and if he doesn't get the NIU job, he's already being mentioned at Cincinatti to replace Butch Jones who is in W.Lafayette today. If PU comes up with the money, Jones is expected to accept that job over Colorado which is a coaching graveyard.
My opinion: 'Duzzi is as good as gone, it just depends on where. I'd love to see him succeed and think his best chancce would be at Cinci: hope he gets that gig.
Sucks to lose him but it was a matter of time obviously. I happen to think Dantonio is the brains behind the defense and Pat was the energizing force. As long as Coach D' gets someone to equal that energy to replace him we should be fine.
Now I'm just torn.
I really don't think this season was 100% his fault. BUT I would be okay with his leaving. BUT as a WMU graduate (yes, even though I went to MSU), I don't know how happy I'd be with his running things in Kalamazoo.
I don't know what to think...
"When I was in school they told me practice makes perfect. Then they told me nobody's perfect. So I stopped practicing." --Steven Wright
Dantonio will promote someone on the staff. He doesn't like to go to the outside if possible. No way he finds someone on Duzzis caliber.
Thing is, the replacements haven't equaled the losses. Treadwell >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Roushar, Treadwell>>>>>>>>>Samuel at WR's Coach, Enos => Salem re: recruiting/RB's, and I don't have a lot of faith the hires are going to get better than they've been. The original package was good, have to stop buying cheap replacement parts.
damn....you "don't know what to think?"....I'm pretty sure you have some clear cut opinions coming your way on that one my friend. Some say he got too much blame due to the fact the oline was beat up this year. The WR's were abysmal with all the drops and lastly Maxwell sucked balls for 2/3 of the season. His toughness can't be questioned but his effectiveness can. With all that said, how anyone with a BRAIN CELL in their head would consider this man for a head coaching gig is mind boggling to me. In the end, he's responsible for the offensive product put on the field and it was BAD.
no argument: however, administration stepped up with raises correct? Roushar and Salem are Coach D's pals and his hires. I dont' think it's money as much as it's been bad hires.
The admin. stepped up with raises AFTER MD hired Salem & Samuel.
@ChicagoSports: According to @kicker34: NIU will promote offensive coordinator Rod Carey to head coach. Presser at 8 p.m. http://t.co/rXLfEC9s

Come on Western, give this man a chance.
NO WAY anyone is going to touch Roushar with a 10-foot pole! We're stuck with him and our lowest rated national offense.
Just remembered: According to WMU Athletic Director Kathy Beauregard, the right candidate for WMU would likely be someone with prior head coaching experience.
Probably not very likely he goes to Western.
This is a very risky move for NIU. Like a MAC-level Bobby Williams, except he didn't prove anything. This was all about making sure that there QB didn't transfer.
Honestly... Who do I have to blow to get this done?
He doesn't even have to shower first.
Marriage is like flying with kids, if the flight had 500 connections, never ended, Ted Striker were your pilot and you ate the fish.
He will be a senior. I doubt he would have went anywhere.
Not even Wisconsin?
