Marriage is like flying with kids, if the flight had 500 connections, never ended, Ted Striker were your pilot and you ate the fish.
The grass isn't always greener. Until MSU is willing to pay for a good OC, it will be a carousel of mediocre coaches. And if a good sleeper is hired, he will bolt for more $$.
Um, NIU already named their current OC their new HC.
MSU gave Narduzzi more money after he created a monster D. If MSU were to find a good OC and he fixed the O, they'd be aware they needed to pay to keep him.
So now we're hoping for WMU or another school to help us out.
Should be Arkansas. First JLS now they can have Roushar. Might be a slight upgrade.
Slight upgrade? Even Roushar isn't that bad. It would definitely be an upgrade, but waaay more boring.
laconophilia is everywhere...
swing and a miss on this one
either you need new sources, or completely made it up.
"Months ago he decided the best candidate for the job was current offensive coordinator Rod Carey. He didn't tell the team that though. He wanted to hear what they were thinking first.
"I didn't ask them who they wanted, I asked them what they wanted in a coach," Compher said.
When the characteristics that came back were the ones Compher believed Carey, 41, possessed, he decided to move."
From Yahoo! Sports: Finishing the regular season 12-1 was both a blessing and, in some ways, a curse for MAC champion NIU.

Shouldn't be a problem, as MSU stole $$$ from a record amount of season ticket holders this year. From mandatory donations to the Spartan fund for everyone, raising current donations to that fund, and raising ticket prices for some sections of the stadium, the $$$ is there.
Wish they'd done all that before Treadwell left.
What a flaming pile of shart.
MSU raised their prices/required-donations b/c demand called for it. You mentioned yourself that in the very year that MSU raised these prices, they sold a record number of season tickets. This is not stealing, it is economics.
Supply. Demand. Free Market. Come back when you can define any one of those and how they apply to this situation.
Treadwell left because he wanted to be a head coach, not for more money
I agree with your point but will they lower them in 2013 when demand drops like crazy?
It won't drop enough to warrant a significant drop, but no, they wouldn't.
I wouldn't be so sure they wont drop, don't want to hijack so.... http://michiganstate.247sports.com/Board/93/Lets-call-it-now-odds-season-ticket-sales-drop-even-10-14131807/1
As long as they don't drop to levels that are lower than where they were 2 years ago, I think it's fine. Not ideal, mind you, but certainly nothing to panic about.
Was this just for the bowl game or permanent?
You mad, bro?
"If you're worried about Wolverine fans, just move to Pasadena. You'll never have to deal with 'em."
Treadwell win us some BigTen Championships that I forgot about?
Can we go ahead and name our 2013 scapegoat now if Roushar is gone?
Good programs have carousels at the coordinator positions. Programs looking for new coaches don't usually seek out coordinators from losing schools.
If we start losing coordinators regularly it will be because we're winning.
Well, he won us one. Did you forget about that one?
