...Would only give folks in Okemos minor burns to exposed skin. Give it a try:
The largest nuclear weapon ever built was 51MT. The shockwave was so large, it could still be measured on its third passage around the globe...
Also, I wouldn't call "third-degree burns to exposed flesh" minor burns
True. How long would one have to get indoors 50 miles away? Seconds?
Use an Ivy Mike. seems to be the best balance of destruction and not blowing up East Lansing as well.
Well the flash and thermal energy would travel at the speed of light.
You'd be a charred cinder well before you knew what happened.
Yet.... still worth it.
Turning Ann Arbor into a giant parking felt great. Lol.
Posting member of tRCMB since 1997.
It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
Make it happen
A tactical nuclear weapon works just as well...
Edit: Did the detonate... I'll change my recomendation to Hiroshima sized weapon. Destroys the sports complex.
a 1MT takes out all of aa.

Nίκη για MSU
Use your wizard skills to stop it from happening.
1 KT would make the Big Hole bigger, hell, they'd probably take the opportunity to add more seats

Seeing the possibilities and that all the things I like would be safe I can say for certain I wish that someone would drop a nuke on Ann Arbor. I'm looking at you Putin.
And we'd never hear the end of it.
It would be the first time there was any sort of loud noise coming from that stadium.
and the Hiroshima weapon does the job while keeping I-94 intact ---which is nice.
edit: Just an FYI--the 60 kt device placed right in the Diag effectively eliminates the entire problem area while leaving both 94 and 23 unharmed. I'd go with that.

I don't know how fast the shock wave would travel, but I would assume that it would be several times faster than the speed of sound, which is around 760mph. If it did travel the speed of sound you would be looking at around 4+ seconds from impact. So, obviously, if the wave travels at twice the speed of sound, you would have 2+ seconds.
Definitely faster than any warning device could indicate anything.
I think you need to make sure the Air Blast radius hits over the stadium area. Has to be dropped at the intersection of Packard and State to make sure Outhouse is within that area if you use that size.
This post sums up why that dump needs to be nuked.
I think I'll take out Columbus as well.
The RCMB...is one of the most awful, alarming, inappropriate, disgusting, and offensive msg boards in the history of the internet.
My math is showing it takes ~4 minutes to travel 50 miles at the speed of sound. But I also believe the answer is 2 and not 288, so what do I know?
