A couple of names to watch for Boston College: Mich St DC Pat Narduzzi, 49ers OC Greg Roman & Cards asst John McNulty.
Of all the threads on the front page, this one made Baby Jesus cry the most.
Why do you act all freaked out? Everyone knew going in to this season, that Nar-dog would most likely be gone after this year. It would be more of a surprise if he stayed, IMO.
Not really freaked out, I am just imagining this offense and a mediocre D Coordinator and maybe eaking out 4 wins next year?
Remember when we hated him
Don't think Mike Tressel or Barnett would be "mediocre" D Coordinators.. but you're entitled to your opinion I guess..
Dantonio was a hell of a D Coordinator at OSU so I still think MSU will survive.
Its five o'clock somewhere.
BC is a garbage job, he should hold out for better.
This. Absolutely this.
I agree +1
I see Michigan State as a destination, not a stop.~Mark Dantonio
This. Absolutely this.
If/when he leaves he'll take coaches with him
Dantonio is a Championship caliber defensive coordinator. I'm sure if we hire a guy in Narduzzi's place Dantonio will be able to tweak the defense into a formidable and impressive group. He wouldn't let us go out there without it - the guy knows how to make a hell of a defense just by himself.
Tough love is in effect here|We won't accept you as you are|Instead, we will show you a vision of what you could be and help you achieve it
Hopefully he takes Roushar!
Tom Izzo cured Magic's HIV
It's good to change things up once in a while. We'll be fine.
Only if he's dead!
Nίκη για MSU
Such as? Good head coaching gigs aren't really waiting in the laps of guys with no head coaching experience. I would take it if I was Narduzzi. It's at least a BCS program. Most coordinators go straight to some low level MAC or Sun Belt school.
I think people forget how small the window of opportunity is in this profession. What's there today can be instantly gone tomorrow. Just one season with a mediocre defense and Narduzzi could lose all his shine. Gotta take what you can while it's there.

Remind me of how this works. If BC (or another school) wanted to talk to Narduzzi, will they do that right away and if hired away could he potentially miss the bowl game?
Expect to see his name come up a lot. All good for MSU. Makes MSU a destination spot for assistants looking to become HCs. Also, agree with the posts above that when it comes to D, Dantonio is the top D man, and I expect zero drop off. And with Barnett or Tressel, those guys will step in and not miss a beat.
how come nobody wants roushar
Tressel will be our d-coordinator next year. Look how good our LB's have been since he's been here. Now imagine that all over the defense. We will not be a mediocre defense. This is what happens when you have a good unit on your football team. It becomes a coach factory. Narduzzi will move on to a better job, good for him, and another young good coach will step up into his spot.
This this. Absolutely.
