Roushar to d ...becuz if anyone can stop an offense it's roushar!!!!
Any chance Staten does move to the DL and a new OL coach is brought in?
If they get the right guy, the OL spot could be a trial, of sorts, for the guy, so that if Roushar does have to leave after 2013, a replacement is already part of the team. Currently, we don't really have much OC nor OL coaching experience on our staff. I believe Roushar ia the only one experienced with either.
laconophilia is everywhere...
Kirby Smart is doing well under Saban and will get a shot as a HC.
Kirby Smart is a very good coach in his own right and has learned under the best. That doesn't make Saban fun to work for, but Smart clearly has a knack for building good defenses and Saban can recognize that. 3 NCs in 4 years says it all.
As long as the Papa John dude is around. The 'Ville will be ok.
I respectfully disagree. If staten isn't the best man for the d-line job then find someone who is. Why add another position of uncertainty? Bobby Williams had this tactic with his players in 02. He had no proven returning running backs and so he shifted the sporting news #1FB prospect to RB to try and compensate for the loss. And Lo and behold the run game was struggling mightily against competition with a pulse. The fb position was a step noticeable step down with Mark Goebel I believe and the RB was weakened because Dawan Moss was out of position and his presence actually took carries away from the most talented back on the roster in David Richard. Richard was the second leading rusher among freshman in the BIG to Maurice Clarett IIRC. averaged about 5ypc yet really didn't get the pt he deserved until after Moss use a cop as a street sweeper. Richard and Jaren Hyes were a nice freshman duo that if they stuck together could've had a reverse Caulcrick/Ringer combo, where in this case the bigger back was the more talented and productive whereas Ringer was the more productive than Jehuu.
"losing Caleb Benenoch is a blow that Dantonio will never recover from. Izzo has lost it as well. Hoke and Beilein own the state."
I never said Saban was fun to work for...Sort of like love.... What does fun have to do with it His former OC left to be a HC and the new one will probably get an opportunity as well.
With both of those OCs, its all about their JLS pedigree!
I think Munn is fine as a building, the bleachers and the A/V systems could use some upgrades.
I guess I just like the place...
