would love to see EA have some competition
MMChrisS's Blog on Operation Sports Arena.
though, this could be a scam
im sure someone on a blog / kickstarter site can make a great video game.
EA does a superb job with their NCAA football series, not so much with NCAA basketball though
If not a scam, it could be awesome. Whether or not this game itself is sweet, it should at least serve as a kick in the ass for EA. Their NCAA game has made no good improvements in about 4 years....
They don't make a college basketball game
Or it could explain what Curt Schilling is up to these days.

Last time someone made a better sports game than EA they threw a huge hissy fit and sued them.
You have to be kidding me. EA's football games have been plagued with issues for years.
The PS2 games still have better gameplay than NCAA football 13. NFL 2K5 is still the best football game of all time.
Don't get me started.
Even it's not a scam, 500k is pretty low to build a complete game from scratch. I think this is going to be pretty light with in-game action and instead focused on the legacy mode. Which is awesome, IMO -- I love recruiting and building a program.
Dumb. Make it a basketball game. No competition.
ever play football manager for PC? I'd kill for a game like that on xbox
very few people buy basketball games which is why no one makes them anymore.
I play FM, it's probably my favorite sports games just for the sheer depth. For those thinking 619 teams is a massive undertaking, I popped open the editor for this game and it has 41,776 teams. A lot of those are really just there to be stomped on, etc., but I'd guess at least 1,000 teams are playable, not counting the national squads.
NBA 2k series is doing just fine no?
"If you're worried about Wolverine fans, just move to Pasadena. You'll never have to deal with 'em."
Nobody bought EA's college basketball games because they sucked. I'd kill for a College Hoops 2k13.
Doesn't EA have exclusivity rights on NCAA football, too?
Also, the stadium models kind of stink. I could do better (and have done better) in SketchUp.
I smell a rat.
I believe their exclusivity rights for the NCAA expired a few months ago.
I AM KIND, SMART, POWERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, TERRIFIC, AND TREMENDOUS
I'd just take a college football version for PC.
I still just play NCAA 12 dynasty without ever playing the actual games, just recruit and sim. A super in depth simulator like that for PC would be cheap to make and a lot of people would be interested.
Welp, it was a scam. And 13 suckers put in $685

That college football game with the Penn St player on the cover back in the late 1990's-early 2000's was awful. The NFL game with T.O. on the cover made by ESPN was also awful.
You talking about nfl 2k5? One of the best sports games ever?
Still can't touch Madden which also competes with NCAA titles. I haven't bought bought any football or basketball game in a while. The last sports title I picked up was FIFA 13 which I absolutely love and I hate soccer. I'll probably go with NHL next. Last time I had a NHL game was NHL 94 on Sega so It's probably time. That thing rocked!
