uh the new vette is more than 50k. and ummmmmm Viper for one
They said base level price won't change. The new viper is $140k and just got toasted by the current ZR1 in a motor trend head to head so.... Shut up.
I want to like it, but like GM's new Cadillacs, there's something awkward and inelegant about it. Maybe it's the high, boxy rear end.
But what models is it competing against?
Unless its an M5 sort of a grandpa car. And more expensive than a Vette. A Vette is and has always been a great sports car at a bargain price. Don't expect Porsche quality for $55k.
I think that's part of the issue in the sports car world these days...it seems like people are primarily Porsche guys (and wouldn't consider anything else), Corvette guys, Mustang guys, etc. I'm guessing there's a relatively small percentage of people that actually cross shop these models and decide based on the Pepsi challenge. It will be hard for GM to expand the market as most of the people who buy one are people upgrading from earlier Corvettes.
It would be fine if they hadn't put the camaro looking ass end on it.
Well, they weren't very original with the back end, were they.
Oh well. My apologies. Here I thought you were being a douche bag.
try to find a "base" car.
Plus there's alot more than just price to a category.....so shut up!
go back to driving your vette 15 miles per hour in a parade and sitting at meets for hours in a parking lot grandpa
Whatever his parents drive....as a passenger. Nucky could never master the written portion of his road test.

I would love to see a "remake" of the 57 vette. That's probably the only one I've ever liked. More of a GT car but damn that would be sweet. there are enough crazy supercars, I want to see a refined GT that can haul ass but have styling that catches your eye because of eye appeal, not shock and awe. Kinda like a beautiful girl that isn't hanging her ass out in the street in a thong... oh crap I'm getting old.
Seen it at the auto show today, I liked it but didn't love it. The SRT Viper is the car I would buy, however I still have my hair and my penis is over 3-inches so I am not in the market for either.
That's cool. I want to be inside this
I'd rather drive my first car. A 1969 Nova. It' looks like crap and wouldn't consider buying it.

GM did a pretty good job with the new Vette.
GM is sticking to their guns. The new Vette is styled similar to the old, and they dropped a V8 in it.
Don't mess with success I suppose.
From an appearance POV: i like the overall shape and design, but it would look better without the huge vents/slits/gills all over it.
A tad too boy racer for me, like all it's missing is a giant carbon fiber double deck wing on the back. The Camaro rear end is terrible.
From a performance POV: I can probably get past that stuff.
Wow, the sheer excitment and creativity it took to rip the rear end off a Camaro and slap it on a Corvette. Looks like an engineer got to work at 7 am and was home by noon.
Typical domestic trash. Watch a Barrett Jackson auction for what American engineers and designers use to be.
the vette gets 'em wet.
Guess it doesn't matter.
Thing could go 250 mph and get 99 mpg and the same batch of idiots will complain.
I like the green or the silver.
What do healthy haired huge penised Internet studs like yourself drive these days?
Right. All the vents etc. detract from it, to be sure.
Says the guy who's never driven a corvette.
You can do better.

Before you ask, yes, I am a girl.
Ugh. Why do people think these overstyled massive hood scooped versions of cars are better?
I like the looks of the plane Jane Mustang GT much better.
