6 TDs and 6INTs >>>>>> 46 TDs and 7 INTs.
very much so
To die in ann arbor is redundant
There is no way jesus morris was playing against better competition either
Wait, only I can ban tanfan. Unban him so I can redo it.
Prepare for nasty threatening F*** U PM's from Tanner. He has been filling my inbox up.
Too funny. For a guy that claims not to take this place seriously, he sure takes this place seriously. I should of saved the PM's he sent me when I "got him banned" LOL.
Duh, it's math. I mean, um math.
The gold standard for evaluation, i.e. game film, has been thrown out the window for the last 4-5 cycles. Enter the rise of the mini-camp and 7 on 7 Flag Football Tourney as the lone evaluation tool but don't forget about "early offer darling program" syndrome as another factor in getting a 4th star and keeping it regardless of whether you play like a middle schooler like Morris did this season.
Two years from now when DT to DW looks as fluid and easy as it did in HS at the BCS level, we're gonna end up with the last laugh. Morris still doesn't have a real playmaker to dump the rock to yet.
Anyone who spends that much time trolling a message board clearly lacks any semblance of self-awareness.
And yet no significant ban from Trevor... astonishing..
He's like 95 years old. Dude probably isn't aware of shit.
What data is that?
With Helmholdt and Farrell in charge of the two areas MSU football recruits in the most (Midwest and PA/Maryland areas)... it's going to take Drake Harris type of Wow players for those two dweebs to ever give an MSU player a significant bump. With how much grief they've taken from this fan base over the past four or five years (and deservedly so in some instances), there is just no way you can convince me they don't appreciate a chance to throw a nice little "Fuck you" our way when doing the ranking updates. When you throw in the fact that Rivals caters to only about a dozen fan bases across the country, it only exacerbates things. If Terry had been sitting on three stars with his stats and was a Michigan commit, he would have rocketed up the boards on all four major recruiting sites. There's very little debate about that.
I thought the staff could have done better on the OL and could have been a little more selective at WR, but other than those two minor gripes I am very happy with the class.
Dorsey posted it on SpartanMag.
Granted two his opponents this year were state champs (Brother Rice, D2) and state runners-up (Catholic Central, D1).
But I hear your point
Morris didn't play in those games.
55% completion rate, or something around 18% worse than Terry.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
So were Fred Smith, Bobby Jones, Michael Jordan, Jeremy Gainer, Nate Klatt, Caper, Donald Spencer, etc.
Rivals has major issues. They let these two fan boys impact their integrity. And there is no question they cater to certain fan bases. No question. They always have.
The fact that Terry is not a four star, yet Morris remains a five star and Roback is a four star, is absurd.
When questioned about Terry, one of the Rivals "gurus" said that Terry didn't have a strong arm and played against "weaker" competition. Huh? Really? His arm is very strong...and since when is that a primary indicator of how good a QB is? He killed it his senior year. Beast mode. The dude is a football player in a state where really good football is played.
The Savior? The Savior was HORRIBLE in the games he did play and from all accounts, was underwhelming during the camps he went to...but he was elevated to a fifth star and kept it, even after missing most of the year.
Also, remember two years ago when LT lost his fifth star since he "didn't have a good senior season"? Huh? I thought senior seasons did not count (according to the clowns at Rivals when talking about Morris)?
I understand there is no exact science and that there are many variables to consider, but Rivals is awful. They don't even make sense. And when they try to do, they look like fools (i.e. Terry v. Morris). They have no consistency. They really have no integrity and should be shut down. I left Rivals a few months ago and I have no regrets. This place is much better.
While I am not one who overstates the importance of stars (another debate for another day), Terry is a great player irrespective of what the Rivals clowns say, but stars do matter when recruits talk to one another. Kids want to go where other "big time" classes are. UM uses their recruiting classes as a marketing tool for other recruits (Hokey always plays up "be part of the number 1 recruiting class"). Good thing is that our staff goes above and beyond that crap, because they do not get any help from these recruiting "experts"/geeks.

LT lost his 5th star after he didn't make a tackle in the AA game.
This thread pretty much nukes the idea that people on here don't care about stars
That is not what Rivals said....
No, it reinforces it. This whole thread is about how ridiculous the stars being given out are.
You've got to consider the factor that they're out to fuck over MSU because we according to our fan base, everyone is 1 star better than their ranking indicates and that no one knows recruiting but Coach D and co.
Watch his film and tell me if you think he's incapable of anticipating a receiver getting open. I'm not saying Rivals is trying to "fuck over" anyone, but it's a pretty widely-acknowledged fact that they spend a lot more time evaluating uncommitted players and prospects who are committed to schools with lots of subscribers.
