"I'm not sure it was a national survey [of people who didn't like the names], but people who hit the 'send' button,"
It was a survey of Big 10 fans and everyone hated it. It wasn't the haters stuffing the ballot box.
Renaming them would show legendary leadership I think.
So, what becomes the new names? Plains and lakes? Yuck. Just do a and b for all I care
Prepare for the schembechler/Hayes divisions.

youngblood96/viggo martyr/jargon: tRCMB's answer to Vidkun Quisling and Fred Phelps.
Yeah, the disapproval was something ridiculous like 90% when they announced it.
Maybe they can shoot for 95% with some new ones.
The students just voted,
"Apple and Samsung"
I see what you did there...
In honor of Trevor, please rename the divisions the "C**ks" and the "C**ts." Thanks.
Also, I'm sure not everyone agrees, but the B1G logo has really grown on me over the last couple of years. I'm a fan now.
Just restructure the divisions geographically and give them East/West names. This Lakes/Plains, Bo/Woody stuff is garbage.
Always a lot of backlash when there's something new. And though it's been a couple of years, the "Legends" and "Leaders" differentiation is still new. Absent using a geographical denotation (B1G East and B1G West), I have a hard tme imaging better options that Leaders and Legends to represent the B1G's divisions.
Any ideas? What's tRCMB have to say?
Spartans ...committed to bring Paul Bunyan home in 2013.
I'm on board for Great Lakes/Great Plains
I think it needs to be geographical or something that allows you to logically what teams are in a division. Leaders and Legends was so generic that it made things way too confusing.
I've always liked it. Glad they kept it. I am indifferent to the division names. Whatever they call them doesn't really matter to me.
I like not playing OSU during the regular season for the next 4 years......keep that part.
Me too... course where do Maryland and Rutgers go?!
Red/Not red. Illinois can be considered red since orange is close enough to red and there are 6 red schools.
I don't really mind it, I have yet to hear of one I like.
Course I am glad they got rid of this variation...

The trouble I have with it is I don't even know what division MSU is in. Are we Leaders? Or Legends?
I'll bet 80% of MSU fans don't know the name. We may know the teams, (Nebraska, UM, etc.) but not the name.
It should be broken up geographically, and have an East/West Divisions. K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid)
Speaking of screw ups by the big ten....
Course Rutgers and Maryland aren't really Legends or Leaders either...
How about whichever team wins the division gets to name it for the next 365 days?
