I know I'm beating a dead horse here but only 1 OL is concerning
Rogue Leader= Obese coward who didn't attend MSU and has no college degree
Not really considering we only lose 2 OL in 2013 and most of our OL are pretty young
What position do they play?
You'd think you would have learned to stfu by now...
One is a DT, one is a DE. Both are 4-stars, with SEC (read: Bama) offers.

It's more concerning because 2013 was such a deep OL class. Striking out on it is really sad.
That said we took 4 OL last year (2 OTs, 2 OGs) and they've gotten good reviews so far. Plus we still have some young OL talent like Donovon Clark. Even Burkland, Jackson, Allen all have at least 2 years of eligibility remaining.
On paper, yeah, but the strategy has been 4 for next year. We're very young on the OL.
I dont know why he wouldnt come.
any tape on him Mental? I can't find any....TIA

"losing Caleb Benenoch is a blow that Dantonio will never recover from. Izzo has lost it as well. Hoke and Beilein own the state."
IMO We didn't strike out. Dennis Finley is a hell of a prospect. And with 4 the previous year, Fonoti getting another year (Hoover as well in terms of eliminating available 'ships), and the return of everyone sans McDonald and Ruhland our online numbers are basically unchanged. If we take only 1-2 next year there would absolutely be cause for concern. I think we all know that to highly unlikely. The staff passed on a lot of guys that the stargazers would've touted. Cam Dillard being just one.
His tape is awesome.
hahaha. staff passed on? we went 0-7 on the plan A guys. guarentee the plan going in wasn't to take one guy
Knevel? Dillard? Gall? none had offers and would've committed had they gotten one. The plan was to get 3-4 guys. Then Fonoti got hurt and got another year, and then Conklin (who was a walk-on) earned a scholarship.
Im no racist, but this guy is a little too black for me.
I AM KIND, SMART, POWERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, TERRIFIC, AND TREMENDOUS
I would've taken a chance on Knevel
He had an Alabama offer
That's not the way to look at it IMO. OLine is a completely unique position.
The major concern for me is that we're going to have an entire OL group in a few years with only one senior. Plus, injuries are guaranteed.
The class is done, the staff told Jones there was one spot left and he took it. Probably could have waited a week to see if they could flip one of the others. I don't think Jones would have held us hostage with his Samford offer
Alabama can risk a scholarship OL not panning out, we can't.
All good pts. but I think one more is that stars and tape don't tell the whole story. My god, the staff knows what the hell they're looking for by now. I really think the psychological profiling of these guys is totally underrated. Not saying the staff has total access to everything they want but.....you have to believe they hear stuff from coaches, family, friends, hangers on, etc...and they then sift through the BS and make their decision on who to offer. Brutal overall really.
Kugler, Bosch, Miller, Pocic, McGovern, Norman, Elmer, Biegel, Dawson.
Big time OL class, Finley is a great prospect but we should have gotten 2-3 here.
Last year we missed out on some good guys like Ward, Taylor, Bisnowaty, Conyers, etc.
He stands up a lot, not gonna be able to do that at the college level. The staff will coach that out of him. He looks thin for weighing 270 in that film. Explodes out of his stance and is very aggressive, one of those high motor guys that everyone talks about when describing D-linemen. With his frame and height I could see him playing at defensive end, but it looks like he was recruited to play DT. He could probably put on a lot more weight and would greatly benefit from a full year of coaching and a college weight training program. Should be a good one.
how was that for channeling my inner CBD?
