is there a place i should go to tomorrow to "experience" the Dook / UNC rivalry (short of being on campus or in the arena)? or will i just want to everyone around me?
I bought some batteries, but they weren't included... so I had to buy them again. What do batteries run on?
oh i'm secure.
Never heard of Four Corners. Bars on Franklin St. have a shelf life of about 18 mos. nowadays. There's been an unbelievable amount of turnover in the 4 years I've been here.
I'd go to Tylers or Carolina Brewery if I were in the Chapel Hill area. Anywhere on Franklin St will be nuts and traffic/parking will suck. If you actually want to be able to drink/eat I'd belly up at the Carolina Brewery. Go early and order the nachos. Tip off is 9pm so I'd plan to be in Chapel Hill before 7. Bars in Raleigh will also be packed but less than in CH. Tobacco Road off Glenwood South has great tvs and should be a good atmosphere. Luckily MSU plays earlier so there's a chance our game will be on. But come gametime every man, woman and child will be watching the game.

There's a Tylers Tap Room in Raleigh now - at Seaboard Station. It's pretty good. If you want to watch the game in RAleigh, I would second the Tobacco Road suggestion. That's a good place to watch a game. And it's in Glenwood South, an area you should check out.
I'll be at Tobacco Road Sports Cafe in Durham near the Durham Bulls Athletic Park for the MSU game tonight and I am assuming I will be forced to stay and watch the Duke-UNC game. It's actually a pretty nice spot to catch the game and despite being in Durham the crowd will probably be 50-50 between the Blue Devils and Tar Heels.

If you guys miss ricks, go to Downtown sports bar aka "DTS" as we call it.... one night stands..... people hooking up in bathrooms.... yea oooo yaaaaaaa
I do miss throwing up in the bathroom. Ahhh..Ricks.
I've definitely puked in that bathroom a few times. We used to do our kickball post game there.
So where'd you end up at? Great finish. More fuel to the fire.
got in last night... spent some time at Mosaic Lounge and Hibernian Pub. was a bit underwhelmed with Hibernian. happy to find a Mellow Mushroom this afternoon, and there is a new mega draft brew place called Tyler's Taphouse on the north end of the R-Line. gonna stop by Flying Saucer and Natty Greenes later today.
people seem to be really nice, striking up conversations left and right.

Do you look really, really sad, or sumtin"?
UM, Green Bay and Chicago teams all have one thing in common: They all suck
Flying saucer will be busy and heard good things about Tylers. Busy Bee and the Hive would be good spots also w/ great beer. Not much of a Mosaic or Natty Greene fan. Enjoy though. It's difficult to get a feel for a city during the week, hopefully you'll be around this weekend when the restaurants and bars fill up.
