Best fast-food burger available in West Michigan. Double Bacon Deluxe with swiss and BBQ. Cheese curds with ranch. If I am going to be fat, I might as well be happy. f*** yeah.
Can I come?
I had the joy of discovering Culvers when I moved to WI about 9 years ago. What exactly is a butter burger I asked? Pure deliciousness, that's what. My go-to is the double bacon butterburger deluxe, no 'maters, with fries and a Dew. And when I'm feeling particularly fatty, I grab a vanilla malt.
I love the butterburgers and cheese curds. They also have excellent malts and a real good fish dinner, but I hate their fries.

their root beer is simply amazing
Their fries do suck.
No way, the trick is you have to eat them while still hot. I've always like crinkle cut fries, but only hot. After they cool then you have to use massive amounts of ketchup. Or catsup. Whatever.
There has to be better options than Culvers in "West Michigan", no?
No way. Only Rallys is better, and i don;t think there are too many of those in the area.
For fast food, probably not.
Actually, GR isn't very well represented in the burger arena. A friend and I talked about it the other day, it'd be embarassing if an out-of-towner asked for the best burger in town. There are several good places, but you can find a lot of people that don't like every single one of them.
The half pound bar burgers are easy to find, but when I get the craving for a thin, slider type burger, I have no idea where to go.
The only time I've ever had Culver's was in a hotel room in Wisconsin while watching Michigan State beat ND on the Little Giants play.
Dominating Press Conferences Since 2007
I like the Caramel Pecan Walleye.
But the Chocolate Frenzy Hard Shell Tacos aren't too bad.
Culvers is the best that can be considered fast food I've ever had.
You need to travel the country.

I think it's really overrated. They're all over the area here, and really popular, but I'd rather have Wendys.
Finally got a few out here in Phoenix. Agree - it is the fast food of the Gods.

I will say this again because it seems to have been glazed over, but Rally's is the king of fast food
No fries. Cheese curds FTW.
Wendy's burgers suck. I wish Culver's had Checkers fries.
Culver's plus Checker's fries would be awesome.
Culver's is overrated. You can get Five Guys or get a big-ass burger from a Coney/Diner for the same price as Culver's, and both of those are way better options.
From water we're born, in fire we die. We seed the stars.
Coney Islands never make burgers well. they might be big, but they aren't cooked right. flavorless.
And Five guys is great but their fries are soggy and it drives me crazy.
Definitely better places, even if we're talking chains. Smashburger for one is better.

No, I can't. No Five Guys around here.
A burger, fries and a drink at my favorite bar is $11 and a 15-20 minute wait. Culver's is $7 and a 5 minute wait.
Smashburger's downfall for me is a limited menu. My wife doesn't eat burgers, but Culver's offers so many other options for her.
