Anyone know when the new Culvers in the Eastwood Town Center is supposed to open? I want me some Culvers now
BMI is an unreliable measure, especially for me because I'm built like an NFL linebacker.
We are slim, trim, bike-riding, marathon-running badasses.
PS: I'll see you at Denny's
I'm 5'-10" 160lbs and just ran the Chicago Marathon in October.
I think Culvers is not that great, and I also think most bars can make a decent burger to order in less than 15 minutes.
Jesus, this isn't the 1950s. $7 is pretty standard for a decent lunch, and if anything, it's on the lower end. And ya, you might have to wait a couple minutes so they can make your food fresh. Oh, the horror.
Culver's isn't McDonald's and isn't trying to be. If you want cheap, processed shit, and you want it in an isntant, there are places for that.

My BMI is Burger King/ McDonald's / IHOP.
It takes time to get my sense of humor.
I'm proud of you though.
They don't "suck," necessarily, it's just a preference thing. Some people don't like crinkle cut fries. I love them.
Snack pak meals. Single butter burger deluxe, fries and drink are under $5

If you are really worried about the price, they have $1 off value basket coupons and BOGO concrete mixer and sundae coupons as well.
And FYI- always get the deluxe burgers. Make sure they are deluxe!
Ok just had my first dose of Culvers.
First off asked the girl at the counter if I could try the fries that I was very picky about my fries she gave 4 fries to sample, to soggy for me.
Went with the double bacon deluxe with onion rings and a shake.
Shake was amazing, onion rings were fantastic, burger was ok.
Halo Burger (Flint chain) is the best fast food burger in my opinion, also really enjoy Five Guys burgers. I'd put Culvers right on par with Wendy's, good burger but nothing special. I will go back.
A lot of hate on the fries at Culver's. I was once in that crowd as well, until I was given a tip about the fries at Culver's. Here is the key.........order them extra crispy. No joke. I do it every time now, and have never been disappointed. They cook them just a tad longer, and the result is a firm crinkle cut fry. Not the soggy, luke warm stuff you often get.
Try it. You won't regret it. Again, order the fries extra crispy.

I would agree with this. Halo Burger is good.
I go back and forth on Five Guys. Their burgers are good, but almost too big. I don't really like their fries that much.
I've never thought of Culver's as being anything more or less special than any other drive-thru fast food place.
They are not down here.

+1 to you. The Big Buford is one of the best tasting burgers in the world. I believe Rally's also goes by the name of Checkers in other parts of the country. Don't know if Checkers calls it a Big Buford or something else.
I think it's a checker burger. It's called Checkers here in SE Michigan but I was in cleveland a couple weeks ago and found a Rally's there, Either way it's delicious. The apple pies too are so, so good.
I like the Culvers cod fillet sandwich.
Henceforth, cheese curds will be referred to as Bret Bielemas.
