The one good wheel on my garbage can has finally given out this week. The can itself is in good shape, but I'll go buy a new one with good wheels before next garbage day. How do I get the garbage men to take my bad can? Write "take me" on it?

Wow. These are the questions that keep me up at night.
Spray paint "trash/basura" on the side then drop it off at my old job. It seemed to work well for me.
I've wondered this for years.
Knibb High football rules
I had a cracked one for a while that I ended up having to break into pieces and put in another trash can.
Or just basura..
I was thinking this exact same thing earlier today. A note was the only thing I could think of.
WITH AUTHORITY! Duh.
Your a retard.
It's a large item, so you'll probably have to buy a special tag first.
Christmas tree disposal bag and a sign with the words, "Take Me!"
Duh, just douse it in lighter fluid and smoke a cig.
laconophilia is everywhere...
I was in this same situation last fall. Called the City of East Lansing about getting a new one and how to dispose of the old one and they told me to put it out by the curb the next day (not my trash day) and they came by and repaired it.
Guess my super high property taxes DO pay for something...
Thank God It's OT Season.
Just swap it with one of your neighbors.
I'd just toss something like that in the alley and within a day some illegals will pick it up and remodel it lol
Toss it into your neighbor's yard and let them deal with it.

One of the funnier stories I enjoy is watching my brother get pissed about when he tried to throw away a trash can. I think it took him about five tries of marking it and putting it inside other cans before the trash guys actually took it. It was about 8 years ago but he still gets pissed about it, haha.
Have had a helluva time just trying to get rid of other people's trash can lids. Finally succeeded yesterday after many attempts.
The only way to do it is slice them up with a utility knife and put them in another garbage can
Walked by the womans room earlier and as this lady walked out I heard a massive fart [lol][thumbsup]
Cut that bitch up with a sawzall. Throw in trash.
A man's gotta eat!
put it in another trash can

You definitely have to destroy it first, just a little damage is no good, it's gotta be almost unrecognizeable. I remember years ago I had a metal can that took me several weeks to get them to take. I ended up going at it with a sledgehammer till it was flattened. I had to fold the lid in half too.
You can't, if you want to get rid of it you will have to just move or sell your house.
Good thoughts everyone!
Stuff it in a new trash can/trash bag?
Put it in the trunk of your car.
Drive to Flint, leave car with keys in it for 30 minutes.
Trash can is now gone.
