Dick the Bruiser, The Sheik, Pomaro Ferpo, Bobo Brazil, Yukon Moose.....help me out with more names.
Leaping Larry Shane,
The Sheik was a Farhat, whose family were prominent attorneys in Lansing, I think his brother was President of the State Bar once.

I'm young but Stone Cold Steve Austin, Sting, and goldberg were my boys
"If you're worried about Wolverine fans, just move to Pasadena. You'll never have to deal with 'em."
A lot of people were in and out of Detroit. Detroit was considered a money town. Sometimes they wrestled at Olympia as well.
Larry Chene ( who sadly was killed in a 1964 car accident)
Fritz Von Erich
The Student (later-George The Animal Steele) Jim Myers [MSU Alum]
Playboy Gary Hart
Sailor Art Thomas

Dating myself severely with this post but I grew up near OKC in the 70s so I was inundated with Mid South wrestling - including the original JYD and the early days of Jake the Snake Roberts and several others who eventually made the "big time" with WWWF.
Deranged uncle and deranged nephew watching deranged people wrestle. Good times.
Posting member of tRCMB since 1997.
It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
Leaping Larry Chene. His name was actually Larry Beauchene. He lived on the east side of Detroit around Outer Drive and Dickerson until his death from the car accident in 1964. His kids went to school at St. David (Outer Drive & Gratiot).
WWF. Undertaker, Yokozuna, Stone Cold, DX, Mick Foley, Kane, etc. The good old days. Loved Hell in a Cell.
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
I went to school with the Shiek's nieces/nephews (as did Minnie). My interesting in professional wrestling ended when "Big Time Wrestling" disappeared...and when I turned 13.

The Ultimate Highlight Reel for the one and only Diamond Dallas Page
The RCMB...is one of the most awful, alarming, inappropriate, disgusting, and offensive msg boards in the history of the internet.
Enjoyed attitude-era WWF matches. And the wildly entertaining N64 video games that accompanied it.
tRCMB - Visit at your own risk of being disgusted.
Instead of pay per views, the televised Saturday afternoon wresting shows would promote the upcoming big card events at Cobo. There would be ads in the Free Press sports section promoting the big weekend night matches downtown too.

Absolutely love the Iron Sheik on twitter...or go eff yourself
/Iron Sheik reference
And if the good Lord’s willin’,
I’m a keep on chillin’,
refillin’ and flyin’ high
Stone Cold Steve Austin was the best, man.
tRCMB - Where MSU fans eat their own.
Goldberg would KILL Stone Cold!
Wasn't one of the venues in Lansing the Washington Street Armory?
Goldberg was never CLOSE to Stone Cold's level. He won one WWF title. Stone Cold won 6, plus several tag team and intercontinental titles, and some Royal Rumbles and a KoR I think.
Savage, Steamboat, Hart Foundation, Bulldogs.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
I figured it was usually the Civic Center. Was the Armory maybe used for spot shows ? In the Detroit area spot shows were held at places like Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park and East Detroit High School.
Why am I shocked that very few people here knew about the territory system?
