You'd think so, but they're named sneaky names like "international WAFFLE HOUSE" and "WAFFLE HOUSE of Michigan" and so on and so forth. It's easy to get fooled once.
Nίκη για MSU
if you're in lansing you can go to mcallister's. founded in oxford, MS and purveyors of fine southern sweet tea. it;s better than mcdonalds' sweet tea. buy a gallon of it and drink it for a week.
I don't understand the love for chickfila. I had it when we were in Tallahassee and it was just meh. Why the hell would anyone want butter and pickles on a chicken sandwich? I'll take a Wendy's spicy chicken over than any day of the week.
Oh man, I know what you're talking about. There's one at like exit 52 on 94 I would pass on my way to state. No Waffle Houses show up on their site for west MI.
Warning!!! Love WC, but get it on the way home. It is like a bulldozer for your colon.
Wondering the same thing. I can see why people come around, just suspicious of potential schticks.
You are obviously no Holstein....

The sweet tea you buy in Michigan is complete shit... too much sweet tea, not enough tea... place called McAllisters Deli is probably the best you're gonna do, and compared to the southern stuff it doesn't really compare.
Grits? Eat Corned Beef Hash instead.
You will be hard pressed to find collard greens too.
Ask Miss Bell for some of her sweet tea.
Sweet Tea is garbage, and I imagine grits were at one time purely slave food. Not sure why southerners like them so much.
Yes you can get sweet tea, grits, and all kinds of southern foods, don't listen to the people here.
Dr Opti, providing wisdom;one message at a time.
Cuz they were trying to sell Jordan Diamond he could get the sweet tea and grits he liked so well on his recruiting trip on a regular basis there and not here.
In other words they are looking for a recruiting glitch by the northerners!
Cracker Barrel is kinda like the South's embassy up here. I'm pretty sure it was part of the negotiations at Appomattox.
That said, they have tasty pancakes.

They sure do
Put butter, cheese, salt and pepper on them. Let me know then.
Do you drink hot tea, unsweet tea or both?
I like unsweetened tea, and I like iced tea (and coffee) more than hot.
