So one of my UM friend on FB writes about how he thinks Michigan will fare next season in hoops, comparing them to the consensus #2 team in the Nation Michigan State (his words) and thinks they will struggle aganist us. The Walverines basically cruisfy him because they are all clamping State shouldn't be even a top 10 team because they were only ok this year with nix, how Izzo only won because UM was down, etched, the same crap we have been hearing. So I jumped in, gave a history lesson about how Bo capitalized on bad coaching hires by State after State dominated football for nearly 20 years. Chirps all over the place now.
I know, cool story bro confirmed by Orangebloods. But, goes to show you how fickle in the mind that fanbase gets over ONE winning season.

If I had downvotes left you would receive one for having scUM friends.
Sorry. I was on the verge of attending scUM until I visited campus. Sue me.
Go take a nap.
I've got ya covered, Huckleberry.
You're misinformed. There aren't any Michigan fans anywhere who don't think State will be good next year, with or without Payne.
As to how the two teams will do head-to-head, there's a very healthy debate to be had. No way to really know right now. Obviously, Michigan fans will feel good about their team, and State fans about theirs, for the most part.
There also aren't any Michigan fans who argue that Izzo isn't a very good coach. Obviously, he is. That said, it's pretty hard to argue that he didn't benefit pretty significantly from Michigan being slammed with sanctions and tanking for a prolonged period, early on in his coaching tenure.
So you are saying if Pitino took the job in 01, Michigan still would have sucked?
did you get any evidence of the NBA rigging the draft for LA yet?
"Put your mother in a straight-jacket you punk ass white boy." ~ Mike Tyson
A. Lakers Arnt in the lottery.
B. if you think the NBA never rigged any draft, you are nuts.
(A) scUM will suck next year.
(B) Izzo Jud were screwed over for years by your shitty ass school cheating the system to buy recruits. But for that fact scUM would have never had a good year in basketball.
(C) F_ck Off and buzz off.
scUM fans keep saying RG3, McGramps>Harris Payne
I can't stop laughing.
You seem to forget that Izzo was beating the snot of of um long before the sanctions were imposed.
"I think the world is run by C students"
Out of votes, but +1
Actually, the UM fan I am talking about said "RGIII, McGary>Harris Payne"
RGIII? Has he recovered from the injury already?
I love this argument: "Izzo benefited from his main instate rival no longer being allowed to freely cheat and pay HS kids whom Izzo was trying to FAIRLY recruit to MSU."
No shit guys? That's quite the revelation. Similar to: "I would have whooped that dude in the knife if I was only allowed to bring a gun."
Maybe what we really should be shining the light on is that MSU was hurt by missing out on potential recruits (Rose, Webber, Traylor, Taylor, maybe even Rice, Mills, etc.) whom he stood no legit chance to land because Ed Martin was paying them. Izzo would have inherited a much healthier program and had EVEN MORE success.
Those people just aren't worth arguing with. They constantly belittle our football program for "only having a couple good seasons and needing to prove it over the long run" yet are so quick to say that UM has topped us in basketball after, yup, one or two good seasons.
You can't discuss anything with that level of crazy.
Should be good to go for the start of the season;-)
EH, scum fans are all stupid, crazy, idiots. So frack them and everything they spout....
Nίκη για MSU
Apparently asking them how many football national titles Michigan has won since 1950 strikes a nerve with them.
MSU was a better team this year and will be a much better team next year. Lock it.
SOME Weasels can't handle that fact.
JYD, your threads have sucked balls lately.
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
One has to wonder why it was so hard for a National Championship coach (Jud in '79) to recruit his own state, especially once Izzo was brought on as an assistant in the 80's.
Oh wait, that is because Ed Martin was confirmed to have provided gifts to Terry Mills during his recruitment (this was in the mid-80's). Oh wait, Terry Mills was on the '89 UM championship team... uh oh. So Ed Martin was confirmed to have provided benefits starting AT LEAST with Terry Mills in the mid-80's and up until the late 90's with Tractor Traylor and gang.
Over a decade of rampant cheating. But go ahead and blame it solely on Chris Webber. Forget that Mills and his father were given gifts. Forget that Rumeal Robinson supposedly drove a corvette around campus. Forget the fur coats. Forget the SUV's. It was solely Chris Webber and none of the other players knew anything about it.
